You mean Kev has been hijacking closed training sessions ?

Gate crashing is more like it.

The DL's needed something and was happy to oblige, plus "was just walking by".

Disappointed in the club only indicating one, perhaps it is because they feel they have to organise stuff for the patrons.

They really could just post their schedule and leave the other stuff, such as the "coffee" and entertainment alone. We really would purely like to observe the club at "it", and to feel more part of the team.

Otherwise we end up discussing "coffee".

Maybe they have match sims/training/rest days  etc on different schedules if we play in a semi or go straight thru to a prelim.

Just guessing.

From there it goes to the quality of the powder and how good the coffee is after a black run.

Yeah nah, no burnt sausages. I won’t be on cooking detail, so it’s all good. 😎

No contact with players… Bummer.
I’ll still be there anyways. 😁

Welcome back, Saty!

Anything noteworthy to share?

A poster in another thread suggested he had info that Petracca may have injured a calf at today's training, did you notice that at all Saty ?

It was a quick blow the cobwebs out....similar to a Captain's run..there were no issues that I observed.

Group was up and about in the sunshine

Four days left to prepare for the fifth. Geez, it would be good to spank the Swans. So many times this past week I have heard several astute commentators (ok, so there are only a few) refer quite openly to '...the juggernaut that is Melbourne...' relative to all other finalists. I hope they are correct. It is going to be a bewdy - keep the faith, folks.

TV new reporting Tracc left the track early with calf scare. Well spotted

Not interested in scaremongering I leave that to the FAKE news

Anyone know how Salem is going?

Fairly important bloke to have up and going especially in finals. His physicality and one-on-one ability can be underrated...

Yeah that is a a bit disappointing. Would have been good to know as I'm not likely to be able to make any sessions during the week. Hopefully if we get the week off there will be some kind of hit out on the weekend off.

The training on the 25th would have been the best one to watch.

Then the Sunday run for those who have work work responsibilities,  would have been useful.

So we get a captains run, hopefully we can gee them up, and give them a sense to some parts of what they will be playing for, grass roots and heart.

Hoping to hear more from them for the next build ups, otherwise I'll be guessing and gate crashing.

Just peered across at Gosch's Paddock from the train (unfortunately have to work) and could see some trucks + set up happening.  Have fun those who can make it!  Report back please!

Just a reminder: open training this morning at Gosch’s. We’re setting up and there’s already a lot people here. The atmosphere is great! Excited Dees diehards - red and blue everywhere!!!

And don’t forget to buy a snag in bread at the ridiculously cheap price of $2.50. Or a snag in bread and can of soft drink for $4.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
