Swans are a very good football team in the making and will be around the mark for the next 3-4 years.

I still see it as hate.

You can dress it up as you like.

You group think, separatist who believe the other should be like you or they are what, "d..k h..ds".

Why if peoples attitude are not ones you agree with should they be singled out as unacceptable and ridiculed, possibly even ostracised by the "true thinkers".

I think many years ago there was a "most punchable head thread" all in fun.

Pies look cooked. Ginnivan done his hammy which is massive. I reckon the blues are a real chance next week

How much did Lingers comment motivate the Pies last week? I think there was an element of emotion they played with which always lifts a team, however it’s non sustainable as we can see today.

That and the loss to the Doggies were complete brain farts and will likely cost us top 2 and probably top 4.

Well if we beat Lions, odds are we play them in Sydney. Are you happy with that?

At least it’s a double chance and to date we haven’t lost interstate this season.

Whats BT on about, a win over Carlton wont give Collingwood a top four spot.

As lions and us play each other if Pies win they are too 4 as Freo can’t catch them

Yep. The Pies bubble has finally burst so I can start listening to radio again without having to hear all the nonsense about how good the Pies are.

The Blues should do a number on them and give us a crack at top 4.

They will usually as they get gifted high draft picks when they finish top 4 due to their academy. Mills, Henney, Blakey etc. completely biased system

We could finish as high as 2nd pending % either host the swans or at the scg,  lose & finish 6th then play the tigers..

Those loses may come back to haunt them!

Not the happiest Mr Leg, not the happiest.

Been around town today so had to rely on the experts for the calculations.

I think we must win for top 4.

Cant see Freo or Swans losing.

If we lose to Brisbane, we need two of Carlton to beat Collingwood, GWS to beat Freo and St Kilda to beat Sydney to happen. I realistically think the first is more likely than not, the second not a long shot at all as GWS are great when they’re on, they’re at home, and might put one last effort in for the coach. The last is very unlikely as St Kilda are way off with an unreliable full-forward, albeit they would have beaten the Lions if they kicked accurately.

If we win, it’s simple, Sydney at the SCG in all likelihood. Don’t see that as an issue, esp with the pre-finals bye meaning no consecutive weeks of travel, plus the added incentive to win that and get another week off before a home preliminary final, potentially even against Freo (based on my ladder predictor).

Interesting! Come on Saints!

Something they do quite well down at no flag land.

Pride, as silly as it sounds. I don’t think they’ll win but their ladder position won’t change regardless of the result. Hopefully Ratten has them fired up to go out with a fight.

#22 maggot might've done himself out of a finals appearance with some of today's decisions

He’s a terrible umpire and seems to have it in for us. So here’s hoping.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
