Jibroni 5,057 Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Swans are a very good football team in the making and will be around the mark for the next 3-4 years. 2 Quote

I think many years ago there was a "most punchable head thread" all in fun. 1 Quote

I reckon the blues are a real chance next week How much did Lingers comment motivate the Pies last week? I think there was an element of emotion they played with which always lifts a team, however it’s non sustainable as we can see today. That and the loss to the Doggies were complete brain farts and will likely cost us top 2 and probably top 4. 1 Quote

They will usually as they get gifted high draft picks when they finish top 4 due to their academy. Mills, Henney, Blakey etc. completely biased system 3 Quote
Mr Steve 3,820 Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Don't have much faith in the Saints winning next week, but at least they will know if they can make it and what they have to do. Quote
Demonsone 2,056 Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) We could finish as high as 2nd pending % either host the swans or at the scg, lose & finish 6th then play the tigers.. Those loses may come back to haunt them! Edited August 14, 2022 by Demonsone Quote

Great Northern Summer 708 Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 If we lose to Brisbane, we need two of Carlton to beat Collingwood, GWS to beat Freo and St Kilda to beat Sydney to happen. I realistically think the first is more likely than not, the second not a long shot at all as GWS are great when they’re on, they’re at home, and might put one last effort in for the coach. The last is very unlikely as St Kilda are way off with an unreliable full-forward, albeit they would have beaten the Lions if they kicked accurately. If we win, it’s simple, Sydney at the SCG in all likelihood. Don’t see that as an issue, esp with the pre-finals bye meaning no consecutive weeks of travel, plus the added incentive to win that and get another week off before a home preliminary final, potentially even against Freo (based on my ladder predictor). 1 Quote

Bombay Airconditioning 6,508 Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Only 2 each way games next week. Dees v Lions Blues v Pies With the exception of the Saints all the other lower placed teams risk moving down the draft order should they win. Quote
