What is the hype surrounding the pies. They are nowhere near finals quality. Very very ordinary footy side. But they keep getting the Ws.

I can’t believe we lost to this mob. But expecting the boys to make a big statement next Friday night. Think Gawny will save a special rev up for the boys for this one.

Barracking for the Pies? Fox is the Vicco Pride network.

Most commentators barrack to some degree. At least this combo, even though barracking, don’t make you wanna hit the mute button.

GWS are a total basket case. Doesnt seem to be any fight in them. Maybe they should be scrubbed give  2 good players to North the rest in the draft.

Cant bear another close Collingwood game. WTF.

Disagree that they’re an ordinary side.

I reckon their football can stack up in September because they play with high intensity, defensively sound and play fast attacking footy at the right time.

Pies have the run and carry game to worry us.

Not afraid to take it through the corridor.  Missing Grundy and Mihocek from this team. They’d be likely inclusions next week.

Giants.  WTF.  No heart.  Kill off the experiment now.  Western Sydney is rugby league.

Players are looking like they’d rather be at other clubs.  🤮🤮🤮🤮

Send them to Tassie as the “Tassie Tall Timber Giants” 🤣🤣🤡🤣🤣

As ordinary as they may look, they keep winning and convincingly beat us along the way.  They are fast, high pressure and physical and have the style of play to break open a strong defence.

No one would want to play them in the finals.

They will win a flag one year and no-one will care.

Three goals in front .Pies finishing strongly by the look of things.

Bumper game next Friday. Monster crowd.

Sydney getting a % boost if this garbage against GWS continues.

They'll be just behind Melbourne .

I'm sick of this stupid Collingwood team.

Any of you who naysayers can cram it too I've had enough of you

Port ...11 points down ... Marshall, shot for goal ... misses everything ... ball goes down the other end. Carmichael takes an uncontested mark!! Goal.

FFS.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
