Can we please place all our grammar lessons into the one post, so we can all easily refer to it when we are unsure of our apostrophes and our colons, and our spelling of players names. At present these gems are spread out over hundreds of separate topics that makes it too hard to reference in our time of need.

I would also advise that posters don't use a big word when a singularly unloquacious and diminutive linguistic expression will satisfactorily accomplish the contemporary necessity.

At this stage, I should put my hand up and confess that I sometimes use big words that I don't know the meaning of in an attempt to sound more photosynthesis.

I'm going to the footy.  My son is coming too.  The two of us will see you there.

You're quite right.  Some people don't think it matters.  It shows.

Others would say that anything worth doing is worth doing properly.

Different strokes and all that.

And please, people, remember that it's a possessive pronoun with a gerund, always!

And don't get me started on the subjunctive  ...

Don't you mean players' names?

I was disappointed that you didn’t point out the use of a period and not a question mark in the first sentence. 😄

It's been a rough weekend but you have given me some much needed laughs Demonstone!

Oh I forgot to tell you guys but the other day I finally brought my limited edition Dees memorabilia. I can't wait to see the looks on faces of all the loosers who missed out.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
