Kossie not have a head?

[censored] off umpires. Had to question who’s free it was (supposed to be fifty for time wasting) then missed Salem by 2-3 meters.

JFC these umpires are dreadful.

To state the obvious, we need a win today. We're the reigning premiers, and we're playing the Pies, who are no chumps, but they are also a long way off where we're at.

We also need a good win to take the focus away from some ugly press this week, some of which may thankfully be taken away by Cocaine Bailey (and rightfully so! A scuffle outside a restaurant, whilst not a good look, is certainly a long way off a baggie of the good stuff - provided we make good the damage and refocus on the mission ahead).

I doubt we're going to rediscover forward connection today out of nowhere, especially with depleted forward stocks. But there needs to be some improvement and a plan other than bomb it in. Looking for some improvement from Jacko and Lever. Salem will get better for the run.

Trac, Oliver and Viney need to take control today. And most importantly, NOT LET UP. We have let a few leads slide in the past few weeks.

Anyway, all that aside, I think we'll galvanize after a pretty yucky week and come out on top, not by much, but enough to go into the bye with something positive. 20 points.

Go Dees 🔥

Oh kozzie. The thing is he had no one to kick to.

A few fumbles early. JJ dropped one he should have taken. Trac fumbled and now fritta slips running into goal.

A few bad signs

Good to see we’re continuing we’re we left off last week:

- forward line playing on the wings

- Max and BB competing for the same mark and spoiling each other

- unforced error error after error

at least we look more ferocious!

How was Bowey not tripped

We are really struggling forward of the ball

ps - case in point 😅. But seriously our connection has to be worked on over the break

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
