Why don't you try supporting mate? Just 2 posts earlier you have had a go at Danners for not playing Petterd and you probably have said the same thing about Sylvia, then you say you reckon one of them will play. In tyhe Cam Bruce thread, you pick exactly that thread to point out that Cam isn't a champ in your eyes.

Get a life and stop whinging.

Haha - I thought I was having a go at you! Hilarious. It's like my Brisbane supporter mate, who, when having an argument about the 2002 grand final against the Maggies, and the Coll supporters go "We was robbed! Rocca's was a goal", he just says "Yeh, straight through the middle!". That pretty much ends it there! But it doesn't get them the silverware!

Sertiously though I wish someone from the club would come out and say what is going on with Col. Have they lost his phone number?

Am I right in assuming that Miller will play CHB?

That would make it Carroll on Tarrant and Miller on Pavlich with Bizzell and Wheatley to support.

We need to start Jamar or PJ at FF to ensure McPharlin stays back.

No, Green must be at FF or else we have no chance!

Miller at CHB? Where did he play in last year's final against Freo? I seem to have ommitted the game from my memory..

Is Bizzell on Pavlich a completely lost cause? Or PJ on Pav?

I don't know. I'm completely lost.

Miller played at CHF and played quite well in the prelim. Not sure what Danners has in mind for Sunday tho, as we are more undermanned this time. I would have thought we should do everything we can to keep our best possible forward line in place, including Miller, Green, Davey, Yze, with in and unders in the middle, including McD, Jones, Moloney (if he plays), Bruce, Godders. Maybe Bruce and Green rotating through the forward line.

And the club has said from the very outset what is going on with Col - they don't expect him to be avbailable until round 6. Anything earlier is a bonus, but they have said it all along.

When we played Freo at the 'G last year Miller played on Pavlich. At the risk of repeating myself (maybe earlier in this thread?), Miller did a pretty good job. Most of Pav's possessions were miles away from goal and out wide. White also did a good job in pushing back to crowd the lead straight up the ground, as did the rest of our players.

Correct Rogue.

Gouga has raised a good point. What will do if they pinch hit McPharlin forward.

FWIW, I hope they prove me wrong but Wheatley or Bizzell on Pav.....Please.

Don't be surprised to see Col line up on Sunday. Moloney is still apparently only 50/50 to get up for the game, and Col has not been named for Sandy yet is an emergency for the Dees.

Late change will be Moloney out and Sylvia in.

The thread I've referred to above makes interesting reading and highlights just how far we are off, and have been off, our best team. It also highlights how disappointing certain players have been so far this year.

But I've linked it because I argued that Clint Bizzell had a spot in our team. Clearly the selectors didn't agree because it has taken this level of injury and lack of form for him to get his chance.

Good luck Clint, have a great game and help us win our first game.

Don't get me wrong, I hope sylvia does play, however IF he was fit, wouldn't he already be named??

Dropping a 50/50 beamer for a 70/30 col is an interesting one.

I would rather see Col have one more in the magoos to confirm he is 100% then unleash him.

Fingers crosses beamer AND col play. That would be something!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
