General public seem to think so.

Games are [censored] to watch and over umpired. May not be the full extent but its certainly right up there.

The "game day experience" could mean about a million things and umpiring may not even be one of them.

I for one cannot stand any ground which blares music after a goal, or pumps music so loud between quarters that you can't hear the person sitting next to you.

Nothing has been worse for football in the modern era than the concept of "fan activation".ย

Greedy by Papley there

The De Koning boys are going to fun to watch over the coming years. Both have a great pair of hands.

Sydney choking hard here. Gone inside 50 with options to score so many times but continually kicking to Franklin or Papley when they're outnumbered.

Bloods doing everything but scoring atm

Anything better than Carlton choking??

Sydney wasting opportunities in this qtr, probably should be in front. ย

Iโ€™d say the Blues are choking more.

Even with all the help there (50) & refusal by the umps to pay Sydney a free (had to be a high tackle there surely) in their forward 30 or so the Blues couldnt get the ball up the field and conceded another goal

Come on Sydney. Absolute trash umpiring giving this game to Carlton. Total cheats.ย

I would love to see Sydney steal this one, but I also want the blues to win solely for my footy tipping!ย

Wow so...

"your tackle is so good Buddy boy but i dont care i'll just drop the ball and i know the ump willl call play on...woo hoo you beauty!"

Terrible umpiring in the 2nd half

But this loss is on Blakey's awful decision thereย

Warner doesnt quite cut the mustard at this level.

And Hickey's a bit off the mark at times under pressure.

The Swans bring great effort but have too many gaping holes in their bottom 6

Newman gets caught by Franklin at full back, doesn't bother trying to dispose of it, drops it, play on.

Warner gets caught by Owies with little prior, drops it, holding the ball.

Would be infuriating to be a Swans supporter seeing that.

Although to be fair, they've had their chances and squandered too many of them.

ย

these play on calls are abysmalย

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competitionโ€™s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
