-our most promising midfielder, who is also our second best leader

-our best tagger (it says alot that he is on 19 y.o.)

Jared Rivers - Has hamstring soreness after making his return from a hamstring injury that occurred during the pre-season. May be in doubt for round 4.

Brent Moloney- Looks to either have suffered a strain or has had a recurrence of the soreness he experienced last season. Very unlikely to play this week.

Colin Sylvia- Has groin soreness.

James Frawley - foot stress fracture Rnd 6

David Neitz- Has a grade 2 MCL tear and will miss at least 4 weeks.

Brock McLean- Fractured foot and will miss at least 6 weeks.

Clint Bartram- Has had an arthroscope for a knee injury.

Travis Johnstone- Looks to have fractured his hand and will likely miss at least 6 weeks.

Russell Robertson- Hyperextended his knee and has extensive bone bruising. Injury was worse than first thought and he has had surgery and will not play before the mid season break.

That is the most depressing injury list I ever read.

They are all long term injuries too, which makes this even worse.

*Sigh* :(

yeah that doesnt surprise me.....terrible news though....

i noticed him looking at his hand a lot at stopages and making a clentched fist and constantly looked bothered by it from about 3rd qr on. So it doesnt surprise me. Did well to see out the game.

I guess we are in real trouble now!

At least we are going to be a shot at getting a #1 draft pick ahhaha

Terrible news! This will almost certainly mean that Green has to go back to the midfield, leaving us with no one who can kick goals. Without TJ or Brock, Green simply has to play in the midfield... none of our other midfielders can kick the ball.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
