Tempted........but holding fire

If you did, you’d officially be a troll.

So kudos on your discretion. Well done. You’re growing.

Next step is to admit you’re wrong about Viney being a “rugby player” and literally a starting midfielder in the most explosive midfield the game has seen recently who was in the heat of the game when we were dominant in a Grand Final.

We’re here, happy to bite, and ready to forgive and forget, and absolve.

You don’t want the karma, my friend. You don’t want that.

Well you had to say it so,  yes he changed his game style and was a better player for it, guess he read my posts and adapted good on him for that but it does not mean you cannot upgrade lets see how pre season goes before I change my mind.

Great to see Dunstan on Channel 9 news tonight doing weights and fitness sessions with Gawn and Gus. Will give himself every chance to break in in 2022 and prove the saints wrong.

The greatest motivation of all, to get better and prove everyone wrong! 🤩

Yeah, let’s look at his pre-season… it’s not like he just showed all the doubters in the ‘post-season.’

The footy gods do not eff around buddy - you better atone or karma is going to have its way with you.

I know at this point you are just playing to get a reaction but it must feel bad to be so dismissive of someone like a Jack Viney, who is the epitome of a Demon and the coach’s favourite player, and be so wrong. So very very wrong.

(Looking up at the sky) Take it easy on him Norm, Teddy, Jimmy…

Never worry about Karma over rated, no I don't feel bad about Jack I still see more upside with other players, in the end performance will be the factor if it is him so be it but you should always have your 😳😳😳😳   and mind open.

I think Luke has been really stiff this year, has worked super hard, played very very well in the 2s and thought he’d be a chance to replace Sparrow on more than one occasion. Really hope the club does the right thing by him, and having said that we did with Kolodjashnij.

We will put him through rehab but if he couldn’t get a game all year, I’m not sure he was ever going to win a new contract. I agree with you, I have no idea why he wasn’t given any opportunity whatsoever this season. It just smells of potentially some personality clash, which reading between the lines, ended his St Kilda career.

He was unlucky. He was in good form & Goodie actually talked him up at a presser. Unfortunately he injured his knee & missed a month or so at the same time Clarry got injured & that ruined his chances.

A really good club guy who brings great attitude and application to training every day. His team mates love him. I'm shattered for him. At the very least, he's ensured that Viney, Oliver and Sparrow (at times) have been accountable to consistent form so that has been positive.

Was barely ever named emergency as well.

Seriously rotten luck for poor Lukey. I too agree that he should have been rewarded for form over the likes of James Harmes who completely stunk it up everytime he was given an opportunity.

He'll obviously be delisted, so all the best for Luke.

wont get 2 years as he'd be 30 at the end of that and we'd hope theres some fresh talent coming through by then but we could give him 1 year and plonk him straight on the LTI list and replace his spot on the list. that way he can use facilities and get good rehab but also we don't lose the list spot. even whack him down on the rookie list and youre paying him outside the salary if hes on chips

I think we will do exactly that for him and Melk, to help them financially, keep them involved and continue our strong culture development. That also doesn’t tie up list spots and our players and player managers would see our commitment to our players. That is gold.

I would say Melksham might get a coaching or development role if he’s keen. He is out of contract but I doubt we’d just dump him.

I am also quite sure that Ben Brown will retire with a year left to run on his contract and we might convert that contract to a full time AFLW coaching role, as he’s already involved in coaching our women’s team.

Slightly diff in a role sense but agree re getting the nod ahead of Harmes.

Could've been given at least 2 to 3 matches while Clazz was injured and would also have eased the inside extractor burden off Viney a tad.

Agreed and when he played last year, he was solid. Rewarding VFL form is also important.

Goes down as a VFL Premiership player. Something to be proud of.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
