Geez this is the most fit looking MFC team i've ever seen. 1 game in 28 days. a hot night in Perth. Dogs are going to have to work bloody hard to even be in this game.

Jack Viney just has this look about him, that tells me he has set himself bigtime for this game.

the boys overall look really really calm, feeling very confident

Gil has tipped us. We got dis!!!!!

Schache on Lever as the Dogs master plan ?!?!?!

I think they will try to run and link and handballs to disrupt our zone defence.  It’s how we create pressure and turnovers through the forward pressure and midfield pressure that will determine how the game goes.

Jesus I'm so sick of these Shaquille O'Neal adverts they're playing ad nauseam on Fox.

This is real.

There's a grand final tomorrow and we're in it!

Our team is at the centre of the football world.

It's really happening!

GO DEMONS!!!

After close to 4 weeks of being calm (knew we would [censored] Cats), have been watching FoxTV most of day and fair to say I am now bloody nervous !

Cannot wait for what is going to be tough game, should win but will be hard. Just think we will have the edge in fitness and run.

I want us to own Optus for all time  - only club to ever win a Premiership there

Im sure clubs will use the change of venues from Covid as precedents for home gfs.

In lieu of the Brisbane & Perth Grand Finals, I think the MCG has secured an extension on hosting rights.

Really hoping the crowd isn’t going ahead with this petition by Basil to stand up and applaud all people in the first quarter that can’t be at the game.

Patronising at its worst.

Speak for yourself BBP. I want one from my boss's son's family who got the four barcodes I sent and will be sitting front row on the wing tomorrow.

I’d like to thing the MCC and the state government would fight tooth and nail to retain the GF given it has a 40 odd year contract and has lost it two years in a row.

Not feeling nauseous, but my work-related powers of concentration are at a record low ebb.

Fair enough mate.

Each to their own. I personally prefer they focus on the game rather than remind us Victorians of our current plight. Tomorrow night is supposed to be an escape from the doldrums.

Not just Victoria is affected.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
