With all these tattoos next thing you know our players will be loosing teeth. I thought we were better than Collingwood

After we win the prelim Ill put up some info about special products from the herald sun  ( not knights poster , weg has been dead for a while) for the winning team . Hard to think 2 games ahead at this time

Was looking up a 50 year old bottle of whisky but bottled it at USD14500, am thinking of something from Max's birth year...

I had to think about that and I now really resent being made to think about that.

Lol don’t worry bring his sister I’ve seen it plenty of times (being mooned as a child)

Unbeknownst to me, I won a playing jumper signed by the squad at the start of this year so I wouldn’t mind if we win - I will frame it and put it in the pool room.

”I wouldn’t mind if we win” …

”unbeknownst” …

I am insufferable some times.

Just sometimes?

You’re right, Nasher.

It’s more ‘the odd occasion’…

Although WEG has been dead for about 15 years they still release a WEG style poster each year

But does any money go to rch ?

No idea but I'll still buy a Demons one if we win it. I'll get the Mark Knight one as well.

Just wondering how one wins such a cool prize without being aware of it. 🤔

That’s a good point, I should have said that I was not aware of the competition of which I won.

I am fan of pedantry so I will allow this.

Is there any accompanying certificate that confirms whether it’s genuine and what condition is it in?

Minus the teeth marks for his attempts to reach the chocolate inside.

Not mentioned yet the numerous stuff I’ll have to buy for my nephews/nieces (Aunty’s duty, I’m responsible for some of them being demons today.)

I was speaking to a mate about this, if we win the flag, and the club releases a line of premiers merch, i'll be buying up big for sure!

I’m defs getting a tattoo. Not necessarily a premiership one though, but defs a Dees tatt. I would’ve already had it done except for lockdown putting the kibosh on it.
I got a tattoo last year, not a Dees one but coincidentally it has a black outline with a little bit of red and blue, same shades as ours. The black is fine but the red and blue have faded and badly need redoing. So, when Covid permits, ima go to get that done and I’ll say, “while you’ve got the red and blue ink out…” 😁

Reckon we can we start a thread in the general discussion forum for tattoo advice? :P

Tic them off:

For me:

Premiers Blu ray

Victory pack (grand finals, finals games and season highlights)

Premiers t-shirt (maybe hopefully a tank too)

WEG poster

Premiership Jersey

Framed celebration Poster (hopefully signed)

Stubbie holder

Probably a whole lot of signed stuff on eBay.

Did I forget something?

Anything and EVERYTHING!!

I would buy any book penned about 2021. Hopefully Martin  Flanagan writes something. Unfortunately I don't think and scribes are embedded with the boys.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
