I've yet to receive the email but in talking with the club they mentioned the tickets need to be bought in the name of the person attending not in the name of the member.

Could folks check their email to see if there is any info on this.

Thanks.

But if you're buying multiple tickets per membership how would they know?

Glad people are happy to help out - only thing I would say is beware of new Demonland members requesting tickets as they may be looking to scalp tickets in Perth. I know similar things have happened in the past so you may want to take someone on their word and take the chance or you may be more considered in who you're helping out.

An understandable and sensible post - admittedly not a great look for brand new posters to be asking but personally i legit only found this forum this morning and didn't know it existed.

Just a fan looking to go cheer on the team (accompanied by some eagles fans unfortunately but cant be helped).

Hi, I am going to throw my hat in the ring.  Life-long demons supporter and a lurker here.

I live in Perth and I think have this Friday’s tickets sorted but hoping to purchase a grand final ticket if they win (no interest if they don’t win, will be sulking).

So if anyone has a GF guarantee they can’t use would be very grateful, thanks.

I was a reader of the DL but think this time of year and the excitement/anticipation and fear of "how do I get tickets" causes people to sign up.

Ie. My profile was created on September 18, 2018  -  So i apologise for jinxing us that year aha

I've now received the email,.

My earlier post isn't relevant given that each bar code holder can buy 8 tickets.

This is my first post on this forum in years. Bought a grand final guarantee this year, but am Melbourne based so won’t be able to go.

Just spoke to the membership line regarding whether it would be a refund or whether we can pass the barcode on to someone else. The membership lady said we can pass the barcode on to someone else… has anyone heard if they’ll offer refunds?

Would be happy to pass the barcode on to someone who can go, but will want to recoup the ~$230 or so I spent on the grand final guarantee…

Please see below the information I have been provided regarding the grand final guarantees.

You will only be entitled to a refund if restrictions in your LGA restrict you from doing so.

Due to the uncertainty around the location of this seasons’ Grand Final, we’d like to reiterate some restrictions of the Grand Final Guarantee product.

  • If Melbourne are not a competing team in the Grand Final, the grand final guarantee product is non-refundable.
  • If the Grand Final is played outside of Victoria under no COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, providing Melbourne are a competing team you are not eligible for a refund.
  • If COVID-19 restrictions impede your ability to attend the Grand Final and Melbourne is a participating team, you are entitled to a refund of the Grand Final Guarantee product.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.”

Thanks - thought I’d seen that somewhere but wasn’t able to find it searching through the forums.

Have had a couple of posters reach out and the ticket is now spoken for providing we make it.

Go dees.

I don't see why the WA government can't allow some sort of FIFO arrangement for VIC based fans like the UK did for itallians in the euro 2020 final. Test before the game, negative, fly in shuttle to the ground fly out no contact with the public barring those in the stadium.

way too rational and logical a situation for any government currently in power in this country.

I think everyone should be a bit wary of the folks posting here. Lots of 'longtime demon fans' that have signed up for demonland this week.

WA are rushing through scalping laws for the gf. You'd hate for someone breaking the law by scalping a ticket to be traced back to your membership.

Exactly, if someone new on this page is requesting, i'd refrain. Easy to see based on the amount of posts. People can try their luck on the Facebook supporters group where they aren't as de-identified.

First time poster but long time Deez fan in Perth! I’ve got an interstate membership and used it today to secure my PF tickets. It’s now a sell out so very, very happy.

However I don’t have a GF guarantee so would be very keen for any help if/when we win on Friday night. Can show proof of my club membership if it helps!

I have just seen this OP. I’m in Sydney so can’t go.  I also spoke to membership dept last week and was told I can either get a refund for my $150 GF Guarantee or can pass it on to someone in Perth. If we make it I’ll be passing on to a family member. If people are thinking of pursuing the refund I encourage you to try and find someone who will pay you the $150 for your GF Guarantee. That way the Club keep the $150 and the team get extra supporters there.

Hello everybody, first time poster, but I'm a massive fan of Aussie rules and especially the Melbourne Demons team.

I'd really like to go to the play-offs this weekend if you can lend me a membership.

I promise to cheer loudly and make sure the ref doesn't cheat for Geelong Cats.

Go Melbourne Demons AFL !!

Edit: No posting of ads...

Beware.  At least one of those websites is an on-seller of tickets.  Victoria has laws against on-selling of GF tickets but not all states do.

The 'Tell':  I will be barracking for whoever sells me the barcodes

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
