The simple fact of history is that in the past five hundred years - with very few exceptions - nearly all of the rape and pillage has been an exclusive White Man Christian thing

The depths of your ignorance of global history ironically displays your Eurocentric worldview.

6 Matches is not enough, i am of the view that if a player makes a comment like this they should be given a zero strike policy, they should be sacked on the spot.

AFL players carry a responsibility to be role models and how many feral Adelaide Supporters, and wider supporters (Collingwoods entire base) will now think it's okay to say things like this because Tex did

With that attitude its a good job you are not sitting as a judge in the NT juvenile courts.  The rate of incarceration with your attitude would be close to 100% with a large number of Indigenous people included.

Does this mean the Mongols have to apologize for everything Genghis Khan did?

YES

I will be booing Tex next time he plays against us. I detest racism.

He may be lucky to get a run in the VFL next year.  Eddie etc will be grateful that Tex has come along to be the very public face of racism in the AFL.

Without deflecting from how awful this issue is, it also points out how much of a train wreck the Crows still are.  All the boot camps in the world can't change a culture like that.

I don't know why every time the issue of racism comes up on Demonland pompous windbags like you & Flaubert have to come on and show your chardonnay socialist credentials by lecturing everybody with your distorted historical perspectives.

Has life got boring now Marxism has been debunked ?

It's the perfect system for perfect people and that's its fundamental limitation.

Karl Marx is remembered but his sister Onya is not, despite the fact she invented the starting pistol.

Just watched the Olympic coverage.

I believe her name was Takeya.

That’s less than 50 words.

Does that satisfy you?

Just shows he does not or incapable of learning

Back to the more serious nature of Tex Walkers's poor behaviour and the kind of culture it could foster within your team and environment  - including opponents and fans of both clubs. It's a massive leadership fail - the antithesis of creating a safe environment where people feel safe and are more likely to flourish - providing they are putting the required effort in. By way of contrast, listen to Paddy Mills talk about the culture of the Boomers in his interview after the bronze medal match; that's leadership!

Now THERE’S a role model! Patty Mills is awesome, in so many ways. ❤️

Yes 50 words of nonsense is much better than 500 words of nonsense.

What is on the other side of that argument?

What is the statute of limitations on the stolen generations? Death in custody? The Tuskegee experiments on the US when the govt gave blacks suffering from syphillis ‘healthcare’ in the 70s.

When does a country’s or a people’s collective conscience wash that away and absolve themselves through the guise and excuse of time?

20 years? 50 years? Depends. Or this just another excuse for inaction and passing of blame?

For the record, I was just trying to lighten things up. I don't fight on the internet because doing so is like a repechage: even if you win, you are still a loser.

rpfc, why would you rate taylor walker's apology video with a vomit emoticon?
i struggle to understand that type of response

i didn't detect an ounce of insincerity or defensiveness

it doesn't change anything but was at least a step in the right direction

You are getting closer Cranky, you are now saying it was stupid, well done, come on, you can do it, Just repeat what Walker has said himself. It was racism. Then like walker you can educate yourself and move on like Walker has began to do.

What I’ve said was racism and it’s totally unacceptable. I’ve lost trust and respect from everyone, and I know that, and I’ve got work to do. I’m going to take some time away from the football club to let people heal.

“I’m now going to educate myself, which is going to take some time, because I want to be better for it and I want to influence people around me, because there’s no place for racism in society.

It seems genuine and heartfelt. A step in the right direction. I'm no fan of the man but maybe, just maybe he'll learn from this.
