Interesting that Worpel  for the Hawks got a week for what looked a fairly insipid so called sling tackle. Looking at yesterday’s match there were 2 or 3 sling tackles that could be deemed similar or worse!  Crickets from the MRP.

I hope the FD and coaches study the tapes and make a review.   There must be some learnings   there  unlike the last game 2018.

I didn't enjoy watching the match at all.

Sadly, the refreshments during the match - Petaluma chardonnay + salmon quiche (avec salad) - helped only slightly. But I was so [censored] off that I didn't even bother with the tea cake.

Dusty is no better than Petracca and only just has Brayshaw covered. The guy dribbles them off his boot semi frequently. A great player, with a penetrative kick, but very hit and miss.

As for Cotchin and Prestia, I think we're watching different games. They're okay over 30m, but that's about it. Cotchin was known for his dinky nothing kicks for years.

Edwards goes okay, but he's not elite.

They’ve responded to challenges and adversity very well all year so I expected a response on Monday. It wasn’t to be but the team have plenty of credits in the bank. I’m going to put it down to tiredness and move on. I expect a refreshed Dees to resume normal service against the Bombers after the bye.

Watched parts of the replay of pies game.

My goodness we were poor. I dont think we could have played worse. Our forwards were shocking and our touted mids were not far behind.

Anyone watching that would scratch their heads wondering how we were on top of thed ladder.

 

I would love to know why we have many slow starts? I appreciate our level of fitness and the games where we have come from behind but we are not making things easy.

Almost any club in the comp can roll another if a team doesnt give their all.

But in seriousness, I do think the club was complacent going in to that game.

I wasnt, I was worried it might happen so there goes your assumption. Like you know what  Iwas thinking....Woah...I am married to you.?

Anyway if you dont like the word or the emotion it invokes then Im happy to say they were at least complacent.....relaxed or proud. But maybe check yours.

Either way we are a much better team and let them beat us. It was not fatigue....monday game....wasnt injuries.

We played our worst game for the year.

Lots of teams do it.... the issue is if we learn from it. Thats humility and maturity.
