Go Tigers.

Gee I hope they smash the Crows after the dodgy umpiring last week.

A big smashing.

That aged well.

Looks like that loss to Adelaide wasn't so bad - Adelaide will knock a hell of a lot of teams over in the back half of the season if they keep playing like this.

The tiger army might have helped but the way the Crows are applying pressure doesnt make our loss seem so bad.

They are attacking the corridor the same way they did against us and carving them up. No fear.

Hopefully this is a belting. Would be very tasty indeed.

Why would someone wear a mouthguard that makes them look like half their front teeth are missing?

Cos it covers up the fact that their front teeth are in fact missing.

I’d like to say because footy isn’t a beauty contest, but these days that’s not 100% accurate.

It’s not the greatest look but still better than not wearing one at all, like so many players at the moment.

You think it's maybe a transparent mouthguard and he actually is missing a few pearly whites Deever ?

Is there a more unfit player in the league than Nik Nat? Last qtr he couldnt jog.

It's incredible that West Coast think it's OK for him to only be capable of playing 70% of a match.

Each week he needs Allen to give him a chop out so he can get through a match.

Significant win for Essendon and, given their relatively easy draw in the back half of the season, it might have given them a potential finals spot. This could spell big trouble for one of Sydney, West Coast or Richmond.

It's easy as to travel, although they're going to have to stay in Perth for Dreamtime this week. COVID-aside, they've already had five road games and only one to come, plus a trip to Geelong. Stacks of Marvel/MCG games, again COVID-aside.

But it's not all easy as to opponents. They do, extremely fortunately, get to repeat against all three of the clear bottom three (North, Hawthorn, Collingwood). But they're still yet to play Richmond, us, Geelong and the Dogs, and they've also got GWS, Sydney, a possibly-now-half-decent Adelaide, plus the Gold Coast away.

Assume they bank the wins against the bottom 3 - that gets them to 8 wins. They've got a good percentage so they may get in on 12. So they need four more from Richmond, us, Geelong, the Dogs, Adelaide, GWS, Sydney and Gold Coast.

They're certainly thereabouts. As you say, the pressure is on West Coast and Sydney (theoretically Richmond but I just don't see them missing) to hold their spots.

Nice line from the Hawks Big Footy site post-match yesterday.

"Horrid. We may struggle to defeat BYE next week."

Followed up by: "Looking forward to not watching us next week".

Schadenfreude I know but it couldn't happen to a more deserving smug fan base.

Perhaps not be a bad thing to have Carlton win today. We play neither them or Sydney again in the home and away rounds but it could be advantageous to keep the Blues season alive and have something to aim for as they still have to play our finals rivals in Geelong, Port Adelaide & to a lesser extent WC.

Then again I can't stand them so either way.

Kind of wanted Adelaide to run them to prove we got pipped by a decent side. There’s not really a world where I want Richmond to smash anyone.

Swans v Blues is a good contest but no one really taking to the game on to surge forward. Enter Isaac Heeney. Love this bloke as a footballer. Would have him at the Dees in a heartbeat.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
