Geez a port win and Dees win will give us a 2 game buffer at the top of the ladder. Fingers crossed we bring the pressure on Sunday.

Wouldn't mind seeing the saints get up over the Cats. Highly unlikely though.

Reckon GWS are a big chance against the Tiges.

One morereason to dislike the Pies.......

Rigging mark of the week....

“We imagine it’ll be pretty hard for Checkers to beat Shai Bolton... Give it your all, Magpie Army,” the Magpies tweeted on Monday.

The move proved a success, with the Magpies’ forward prevailing with just over half the fan vote.

“Shoutout to the Magpie Army, you’ve done it,” Collingwood tweeted.

The surprise voting result caused a storm of discussion on social media.

“With all due respect to Brody, this wasn’t mark of the week. I reckon he would even agree with that,” Richmond great Matthew Richardson tweeted.

Top of the ladder joy: as long as you keep winning at least one team falls further behind you in every other game!

Example: If Port beat the Dogs, we go two games clear on top of the ladder.  But if the Dogs beat Port we go THREE games clear for securing a top-2 spot.

When you're winning, everything is a win.

I love that all the club and players have to think about is winning and the rest will take care of itself.

Have now assumed we will be top 4 (well why not)

Optimist says you want the interstate teams at 3 and 4. (Home ground advantage)

Pessimist says you want to maximise the number of Vic teams in top 4 (avoids an interstate game)

mmm I'll have to think on it but a Geelong loss would be nice either way

I want the dogs to win as I would rather be 3 games clear of 3rd than 2 games clear of second. There is no difference between 1st and 2nd.

Good point re. the Dogs over Port scenario. It's such an unfamiliar feeling as a (1980s onward) Melbourne supporter, this whole top-of-the-ladder caper!

Keep waiting for the Cats to fall.  They are not good enough to bring consistent effort each week

Who knows what you'll get with the Saints. could be an interesting game tonight

Port V Western Bulldogs

Are we going 2 games clear or what - this week boys and girls!

Really good point.

The only advantage of 1st over 2nd is you get the 8 day break into a GF if both sides qualify...which hasn't happened since 2014 (Sydney V Hawks)

I tipped girlong but hope the saints can cause an upset.

They are giving Geelong a talk up after beating up on the Tiges.

Hope they don't get consistency and the saints come waltzing in.

thinking:

  • cats
  • swans
  • hawks
  • bears
  • gw$
  • pear
  • peptides
  • us
  • meth coke

not confident about cats, hawks, gw$, pear, peptides

also, everyone jokes about max gawn's kicking - give me his skills on a ruckman over rohan marshall

There's no way that Geelong are premiership favourites like they crapped on at the start of the telecast

3 frees in a row not given to St Kilda- two throws and Cameron dropping the ball

They've missed so many easy shots, they should be up by 10 goals
