I know he can be frustrating but we would be lost without Fristch

He is brilliant. So creative

We didn't panic when may went off. Tomlinson just went to Hawkins. Hopefully he doesn't get off the leash.

But we are going well. Live tracks game & Oliver just needs to take the first option

Hopefully it’s not a broken eye socket

Yes they made a quick diagnosis so it’s not concussion or something they can stitch up.

One of the most disgraceful umpiring performances ive seen in that 5 minute period in the 2nd.  We should have been running it up the field for a shot at goal instead he calls holding the man when it should've clearly been holding the ball.

Two holding the balls that were 50/50 against us in our forward line against Frittata & Sparrow yet the Cats don't get called for similar and then get a reverse call instead.  Faaark off Umps!

Crush them in the 2nd half and for good measure someone please knock out cheat Selwood and fat Hawkins

Someone needs to get Flabber to learn to control his joints. His elbows seem to have a mind of their own.

where does selwood get off complaining, hate hate him

Was getting vibes of the game at Etihad a few years ago where we were all over em and couldnt kick a goal and they couldnt miss. Hopefully we show some mongrel and put the foot down

Selwood whinging to the umps coming off.

He was just saying the brown paper bag wasnt guaranteed this week if they dont lift their game.

My fingers are like icicles, so not going to try and navigate my way back through thread.

Can someone with benefit of replays tell me what happened to May? His contest with Hawkins was right in front of me, but it looked pretty innocuous until he didn't get up

I’ve only seen drips and drabs but despite inaccurate in front of goal best footy we have played all year?

I'd say yes. It's blowing a gale and slippery and we're burying them. I think the inaccuracy in front of goal is forgivable under the conditions too.

We are [censored] if May has broken his eye socket.  Majak Daw might get a gig.

He broke something....that is for sure.

Mossie getting involved alot in the 2nd half of that quarter has set the pidgeon amongst the Cats!!  Great stuff son...keep it coming

That last tackle on Isaac Smith in our goal square, a case in point. No prior but he was also making no attempt to release the ball and we know why. That is often a free.

He got an elbow to the face from Hawkins at full force as Hawkins tried to get the ball away. Think it was just an accident, but given the injury you could argue it was reckless. He looked a mess.

Geelong's game plan is quite obvious. Cheat at all opportunities. The most penalised team in the comp, and the umps have paid so many free kicks against them they've almost given up.

They're bringing the game into disrepute.

I said this during the week, they clearly train to take advantage of umpiring and rules that can be manipulated

Petty can slot in

Loving our coaches thinking ahead. Hunt has been going to Smith when Smith rolls forward and has kept him quiet. Hunt has been exceptional, not necessarily stat wise but watching behind the play his work rate is unbelievable.

We should be further in front, the lowering of the eyes and seeking the best option is impressive so far. Just bury them in the third.

Jordan needs to get into it

I know hes young but 1 possie is not good.

Nate jones great goal but only 2 touches...come on.

If they can lift it will make a big difference.

Edited by leave it to deever

the little aussie kossie just needs a tad of luck

May is the player we cant afford to lose well maybe apart from maxy. but he has had a stellar start & it's just so unfortunate

Slow mo looks like his forearm smacked his face in the tackle as he was trying to get rid of the ball. Maybe accidental, but gees Hawkins has form.
May looked horrible going off. Hopefully it’s not a break.

Thanks for that. Fingers crossed May is ok. Hawkins has form with 'accidental' elbows, so I'd definitely be on reckless side of fence

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
