Hard to see either missing this year.

Tigers will definitely be in the four unless one or both of their two forwards are injured.

Agree... you would like to see a handful more players at 150+ games. Gawn, trac, Salem, brayshaw, lever and viney are the next bunch. 
get them to 150 and playing together and we will be formidable

We’ll be finishing 3rd and I doubt WC will be too 4. As flag favourites we’re a lock for top 4

Tmac's resurgence could be one that we really need to be competitive....We are actually pretty good in this regard though.

Tmac/BB/Majak/Weideman.  We should have plenty of selections to ponder in the near future.

Petty and Mitch Brown could also chop out in these positions, we are actually stacked for options with tall forwards.

assuming you play 15-20 games a year - its an 8-10 year overview... so you're 26-28 years of age... 

do the next 50 (150-200games) not gain your further experience, knowledge, insight?

A player doesn't get to 150 games unless they are any good.  A player doesn't get to 150 games unless they are 26-28 years of age.

Games played and age are the outcomes, not the reason. 

Does anyone seriously think that 22 Shaun Burgoynes ( of today) in the side will gurarantee a premiership? He's just not as good today as once.  But he is older and has played more games......

The more good players you have in the side, the more likely you are to win a premiership.    Simples!

That last sentence says it all George. 

I have seen 6 premiership at the MFC in my time as a supporter the teams since the 1950's and 1960's always lacked something which made them poor, the 2021 team has the same feel as the 1950's team which was an excellent defence and good midfield whether the forwards can kick a winning score is the major question that will be answered in the next 10 weeks.

When Norm Smith was coach he always had a system that a good attacking defence and midfield put pressure on the opposition's back line and the fowards who played their roles would eventually kick a winning score.

The players have to have a positive outlook meaning they should always believe they will win no matter how badly the game looks, I remember back in the 50's the MFC was playing South Melbourne as the Lakeside oval and at 3/4 time Melbourne was 29 points down and were kicking into the wind Norm Smith made a change and played Ron Barassi in the Back Pocket.

The result was the run out of the backline increased and Melbourne won the game.

This is the type positive thinking that can win premiership.

We have the cattle and we will find out whether the players have the mental edge?
