What would the winning points for/against have to be to reign in Norf’s ridiculous % of 563.2 , I wonder? ?

As nice as it would have been to get a win against St Kilda as per the original fixture, a genuine test against the best team in the comp is timely.

I suspect we're a notch or two below the best teams at this point, but nothing that can't be fixed over the remaining seven games with some players returning from injury and improvement from fringe players.

Thing is, that percentage is largely because nobody has thought to kick a goal against them.

When be unleash a seven goal blitz in the third quarter this weekend, they won't look so great.

Their defence hasn't looked that great, the opposition were just really poor in their options and delivery.  Roos do have great and fast outside run and look for this runners with a handball.

Lively Melbourne forward Krstel Petrevski has been ruled out for the season after suffering a hamstring injury against Richmond.

Midfielder Maddi Gay (quad) is likely to play her first game for the season against North Melbourne, with Sarah Lampard (ACL) ruled a test.

Defenders Meg Downie (ankle) and Shae Sloane (ACL) are 2-3 weeks away.

looks like a 5 day lockdown on the way. I wonder whether the game will go ahead.

Good to see that our footballers, like the tennis players, perform an "essential service" so the game goes ahead.

I’m certainly in favor of the match going ahead. It gets pretty tedious in lockdown so having a game to watch helps pass the time.

Well aside from Downie this is close to our best side. Will be really interesting to see how close we are

She's a champ but Paxy has cost us 2 goals this qtr. I'm sure she won't let it get to her.

Glad we got a goal for all our hard work. Just need to cut out silly errors, uncharacteristic by Paxman.

Played ok that quarter. Have to watch North along their half forward line. Again Paxman was unreal but for her boo boo against Carney.

Go you demons!!  Goldrick and Pearce holding steady sweeping on the HB line looks good for us.  As said it was two very poor errors for the goals.

Would be a massive win if we got up

This is good footy, keep it up Dees.

When we nailnit right we are very exciting to watch!

Go dees.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
