Ugle Hagan should be a Crow.  Worst team in the comp don't even get the best talent in the draft.

Dogs win a flag 4 years ago and make finals the last two years and get pick 1.

Farcical.

Reading this thread is close to the funniest thing i have had in 2020

And now they're telling us that the crows are taking 4 minutes to decide who is next?

The whole draft, they estimate about 55-60 kids

Aha. Nice. I saw it was over 2 nights and thought they had split it again.

Rookie draft tomorrow.

What are Adelaide waiting for here. Surely they know who they're taking now. Are they required to wait the 5 minutes in order for the interviews to take place?

Has to be the AFL dragging it out for media

Dumb Crows in handing Dogs all the publicity. Should have picked the kid they wanted and let Roos nominate him and then he would be 2 not 1.

Not sure how it would work but there should be some kind of compensation.

too slow it will [censored] people off waiting so long especially when teams know who they are taking at this early stage

At this rate we will get to our selections around ten pm. I will watch a movie in the mean time.

This is very annoying.  Part of the interest was watching the clubs and their deliberations.

Does anyone know if it is broadcast on another platform?

Phillips to North. Good pick, for mine.

If you're trying to build a club the right way, through contested footy with high character, he's someone you can build a club around.

Why aren't they showing each teams recruiting boss call the names out?  Just flashing the names up as they come in is so lame... guess the AFL haven't discovered webcams, Zoom, technology etc....

Hand all or some of the "spent" picks to the club who lost their spot?

May give them access to earlier picks than otherwise, or could give them assets they can trade on the night to improve other positions or future draft hands.

Bit of a surprise with the Roos going for Will Philips

Terrible move by the Crows.   Lost all the prestige  and marketing bonus of having the #1 pick.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
