Dees Reviewing Senior Footy Department Positions

I thought the forward line was eons better than last year and did a lot right.

The midfield is my biggest concern. It’s where we are stacked for talent and can’t get consistent results.

As I’ve said in other threads I’m happy for Mahoney and Goodwin to have one last year and win or lose together.

Thanks to @Lucifer's Hero for the article.

I think what's telling in that whole article is that Alan Richardson position is not safe at all. Though seeing as he is a former teammate and friend of Gary Pert I cannot see him getting cut.

Some interesting names that appear to get new contracts. The likes of Hibberd, Spargo, and Lockhart all look set to get new deals.

Not much to the article just stating that it’s finals or bust for the off field team. All football department positions are under review including Richardson/Mahoney. No comment on if Goodwin is under review but you would assume so. Click bait on the Brayshaw/Viney comment

So what was said about those two? Finals or bust must be obvious to everybody, including Goodwin.

You would assume everyone gets run over with a fine tooth comb with Goodwin it being based on what areas he needs to improve in to get the team achieving the best their capable of.

Mahoney is an interesting one because I remember Roos being very complimentary or him but he should be heavily reviewed given the lacklustre results the last two seasons.

Every Position within the Football Dept should be under review. No exceptions

We didn’t make the Game that is on right now.

Whilst I agree (and hell, its what every club does every year, so there is nothing knew with your statement) , I can't help but put Lenny McClean's voice to your posts... particularly from 4.22 in this youtube link...yeah I know I pop it up every 3 months or so :)

It's derived from German.

Meaning:Quietly holding the streets of Berlin.Waiting for the Red Army.

Look at the pressure tonight.
that is the level we have to get to, sporadic pressure acts and scoreless quarters are worthless in Finals

the Bears overtook us with such ease

Surely this happens every year regardless

This is only a "story" as we finished 9th and have underwhelmed the last 2 years

But does it happen seriously?

We are not good enough again....

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
