Missed 16 games due to persistent hamstring injuries in 2021.

5 games, one of which was as a medical sub.

Now delisted from a side which finished bottom of the ladder.....after being moved on from Port as well....and people entertain the idea of bringing him to Melbourne?

Perhaps he might be a better player within a club where he's at absolute best out 22nd best player (at absolute best). Would get far more attention by opposition at kangas. I still say no to taking him as I think he's a dud but in a top 2 team, it's not impossible that he could provide something

It’s a no for me

What a mess Norf have to clean up, 700k a year for another 2 years in the cap, money to burn in there cap.

Unbelievable recruitment strategies by the Woos.

Doesn't pass the 'no d!(khead policy'.

Absolute [censored] apparently.

Jared Polec is a great idea. Why not. While we’re at it we should ask Jonathan Patton if he’s interested in resuming his footy career with us as well.

Apparently Tom Scully wants to make a romantic return to Melbourne were it all began for him - it helps that international flights to China are banned. Plus the small detail of finding his dad a spot paid for in the cap

Yes one Clubs  poison can be another Clubs treasure.

And the last poison turned out to be a real treasure on GF day and previously where he majorly helped right our forward  line connectivity and balance which propelled our attack to un heard of  versatility and ability.

When in doubt kick the ball high to Benny was used at least a half a dozen times especially in the Granny with great effect. Bens long straight arms were never quelled on the bug GF stage and gave out attack a sense of surety not seen before. This on half a season also!!

Of course Polec is a different cat but he is a ferocious finisher with the ball and has genuine pace to burn. Any position on HB wing or HF he would need minding and be a real menace albeit depth fir our 2022 campaign.

Rosman and Baker would be challenged as well as our culture but I think we are big boys now and can handle with our coaches precocious talent for the  team mantra thing Jared has never quite bought into yet on his AFL journey.

Martin Pike says hi from the Brisbane Lions !!!

No doubt he is a better player than Baker, but we don't need flaky, 29-year-old, injury prone guys even if Norf was going to pay most of his wage!

Why on earth would we want a 29 year old?  We are not coming up to a premiership window, we have smashed the door down and grabbed the cup.

Our goal to goal line is starting to look old.

Lets pick someone with youth and exuberance, which is what won us the cup.

St Kilda perhaps...

Have a feeling Polec only runs one way.

Didn't fit the MFC ethic.

Unless it's for a specific role like Ben Brown, I think we are well past needing to acquire players like Polec.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
