Going by an Age article, we are off to Sydney. Alice after that would be good.

Possible i/state Vic Hubs

Victorian clubs are still waiting to find out where they’ll be based next week, but likely new homes continue to emerge.

The Western Bulldogs are expected to join Geelong and Collingwood in Western Australia, according to multiple reports, and it’s likely another Victorian side will come along with them to ensure they have someone to play next week.

VEXIT HUBDATE:

As we told you on @7NewsPerth last night, expect @westernbulldogs to join @GeelongCats and @CollingwoodFC in WA hub as early as next week. Likely more teams sooner than expected.

League is heading for a condensed fixture that will see teams play 5 gm in 32 days.

— Ryan Daniels (@FootyRhino) July 2, 2020

Hawthorn and Essendon have been tipped to head to the Gold Coast, though it’s unclear whether they will go to Sydney first - a 14-day quarantine period would be required if they head straight to Queensland.

Melbourne, St Kilda and North Melbourne have all been linked to New South Wales, with several areas including Manly, Coogee and Wollongong named as potential hub locations, though Olympic Park is a strong option.

That leaves just Carlton and Richmond with their new homes unclear.

That means our catch-up game vs Ess won't happen for at least a month.

NSW allowing the lowest crowds at present IIRC

And who go there.....MFC, Saints and North

WA full capacity = Pies, Geelong and Dogs

Small thing but we are increasingly irrelevant

I wonder whether the 14 day quarantine starts when a team arrives in Queensland or leaves Victoria. If it's the latter, Essendon could go to Sydney first to play us and then play in Queensland the following week.

Quarantine starts the moment you leave Vic. Read it on the age or abc news the other day.

Possibly.  But if only two teams (Hawks and Ess) go to Qld they both need to go up at the same time so that they play each other (after 7 days) and can then play the two Qld teams in the following two weeks - same deal as the WA model.

On related note - the fixture is shaping up to be an enormous benefit to Brisb and GCS.  They will get a lot of Home advantages; not just Home ground but also the opportunity to live at home with their families and train in familiar environments with very little interruption to their routines and lives.  NSW teams will get similar benefit.  They can all bank wins very early in the season.

Going early but reckon the premiership will be won by the team that gets their emotions and head space together.

Good news is most of us can get into NSW to see our games.  So I look forward to the fixture.  Yes, Coogee or Manly would be good ?

Nice conspiracy theory but we can't go to WA because we've already played West Coast.

Having said that, North is being suggested as going to NSW but they've already played GWS and Sydney so I can't see the logic behind that.

But we could have gone to Qld or SA

Isn't it strange that the three lowest drawing teams go to the State with the lowest permitted crowds.

Sunday afternoon games aplenty for us I'm sure... we are a sponsor's dreamchild

DJ, it pains me to say it but that is all we deserve.  We may even lose the 3.30 time slot which is FTA on Ch 7.

I'm happy with Sydney.  We can go and watch the games live without going into quarantine.  Has to be a big positive for Dees fans.

We very well still might.

We've already had a FTA game and we've got another one coming this week. That will be 50% of our games so far on FTA. It's hardly a disaster.

NSW have said no fans from Victoria for a while

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/jun/25/we-know-their-addresses-victorian-fans-banned-from-attending-nrl-and-afl-games-in-nsw

"Supporters will then have to bring identification when they arrive at the grounds, with any Victorian residents to be turned away. The AFL is expected to follow suit

The move came as NSW health minister Brad Hazzard revealed he had obtained assurances from both the NRL and AFL that they would not allow Victorian fans into games in NSW due to concern about the coronavirus spike in that state.

“The only people that will get in will be members of the clubs or season-ticket holders, where we’ll know all their details,” V’landys told AAP on Thursday. “It’s to assure the government that no one from Victoria will be allowed in"

Mate, get the tinfoil hat off. It has nothing to do with crowds and everything to do with who plays who. This is one of the most absurd posts I’ve read on here and that says something

This year can go and get stuffed.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
