I haven't bothered to read the article, and as Stevens hasn't been charged by police or committed any offense, I cannot see how he would be suspended by the AFL on the basis that he was stabbed.

Has he been drug tested recently? Might not be able to play for a while if so? (I’m fishing ?)

Yes, that right. You got it in one.

If the integrity unit do investigate, Hocking will ensure it gets wrapped up pretty quickly.

and then got shot back out,  like out'a a cannon, at the Fair.

... landed on a spinning wheel,  & while pinned to the velcro,  he was stabbed by the man throwing knives in the BigTop.

Vlad would accept that, you know he would.   Or my name is not,  Andrew D...

You seem to have the low down here, Moonie.
So Stevens’ missus drove all the way around the bay to Malvern to shank him at 1am after learning of an affair? Or did the mistress do it, thinking she was the only one? Or did he do it himself as a crazy deflection strategy?
Intriguing and salacious liaisons dangereuses...

Go easy! He is separated and his ex and child live in East Brighton, published in newspapers. Jack was in Melbourne returning his daughter home to East Brighton with his new girlfriend, again written in papers. Don't believe half of what you hear or assumptions

It depends on how [censored] off Eddie might get if nothing happens.

When someone is stealing headlines just as the AFL is trying to bring in 16 minute quarters, and a night grand final, by stealth, they might just give him 3 bonus Brownlow votes as a thank you.

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
