Take a look on street view. In the past at Arden St they've put up temporary fencing to block the view. Not sure if it's the case this time 1 Quote

I wouldn't bank on it being available after the fact. I can't remember what the situation was last year with the Collingwood game and whether it was available post match. The wording of the announcement of the stream only mentions "if you can't make it to Arden Street for the clash, you'll be able to watch the game live on melbournefc.com.au and via the club's mobile app". We were able to watch a replay of the Collingwood match. They put all 4 quarters up as separate segments on the website. With commentary and all. 1 2 Quote

Seems unfair to play him out of position all pre season and judge him on that. I guess we don't have too many other ootions Weid really enjoyed it, I asked, 19 touches and all over the ground, could be the making of him 10 Quote
I'va Worn Smith 996 Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I thought Weid's work rate on Saturday was excellent and he will only benefit from his (enforced) role he played in that game. 4 Quote

You would expect that something along these lines will be the case. Being a practice game outside the Marsh Series, you'd think we might experiment a little, playing some for just a half or three quarters and so forth. Some of the older brigade might get a little more of a rest while some (like Hunt and Wagner) might get full games after missing out on the weekend and playing with Casey. If we come out if with no injuries and more game time in the legs then it's a big win regardless of the scoreboard. 1 Quote

Yeah I'm really in the same boat - I'd much rather a win - but as this is an extra practice game, you would expect us to potentially rest more players, trial a few different things and so forth, so that's probably more important than the overall outcome in this instance. 1 Quote

Agree. I reckon he is a pretty good ruck. I thought that when he did a bit of ruck work (having done a fair bit at Casey iirc) when he came back into the side in 2018. Didn't do any last year which surprised me until I read about his issues with his hips. I reckon weed and jackson represent fantastic back up options and create real versatility. For example max can drop back or roll forward and weed or jackson can take ruck duties in general play for a few minutes. 4 Quote

But i reckon given he represents such a tricky match up up forward (they have to play a tall on him) and his leap means he can take centre bounces without getting buffeted too much that they will want to play him round one. particularly if Weed can give Maxy a chop out occasionally (and Tomlinson around the ground). 2 Quote

Can we fit Gawn, Jackson, Brown, Tom Mac and Weideman in the same team? I don't think we can. I do believe Brown will get a gig come Round 1. I'd say Gawn rucks 85% with a 15% chop out from Weid, while Brown and Tom Mac are the stay at home forwards. I'm excited for Jackson's future and think he could be a phenomenal player, but I just don't think he is quite ready just yet. Pickett, on the other hand, should have a spot come Round 1. 3 Quote

Bang Bang Bang 5,875 Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I'll probably go to this on Friday. What are the chances of there being a sausage sizzle, canteen and/or canned drinks being sold? Can anyone remember from the Pies game last year? Quote
