relax, its the first hit out of the year, players are gonna have some rust.

Won’t accept an excuse like that.

He’s missed hem all day!

Weid not having a great day but he's being asked to ruck against a brute in Reilly O'Brien.  He is out of his depth there.

Yes, really missing Preuss as backup.

Had time to know who he was hitting  and didn’t go low
1 week

History says he will get off, it’s a practice match. Sylvia had his jaw broken at Casey against West Coke several years ago with zip consequences.

A lot better quarter that one Jones and McDonald on fire. Petracca BOG.

ok then, good for you.

Awful balance around the contest there. You can’t allow a free runner. If that’s not fixed we’re screwed

not really a cork. the point of a knee hit he's shin. looked pretty painful. he was trying to get back on but physios trying to talk him out of it

Can’t watch and have only half followed updates.

Any news re: Jones and Jetta would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure I’d call a corky injured.. would 100% come back on if it was the regular season, might get put on ice given it’s a pre season game.

I didn’t confirm it was a cork. I am at Casey. Happened in a collision

Weid simply must step up. We lost Hogan and didn’t recruit a replacement

This is it. No more excuses

Jetta simple rolled left ankle. Jones copped a stray leg to the shin or calf.

Hogan never played as a ruck so there’s not much to see based on today

The y showed several slow mo replays on TV and appeared pretty clearly to be a lower leg cork. Knee straight into the outside of his lower leg

Nice set of foot passes

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
