I definitely received an email promoting the event and intended to go but life got in the way.

Glad I didn’t waste my time on such meaningless fluff.

Pert is so out of touch, and seems to only be interested in the opinions of rusted on coterie members in their 60s+. I am certain we might do well on-field, but the club will only go backwards while he’s at the helm.

Don't all members get a proxy form about the AGM with information on when it is on, if you really wanted to go you would have looked at the form and AGM notification, and put in your calendar I suspect you really didn't want to go, but saw it as a  opportunity the pot the club. vice-president. Of the MFCSS

There was no proxy form sent.

The rest of your post is playing the man.

No use complaining about the lack of notification.

As others have already shown, it has been emailed to members, it has been on the club website and worst of all ( which I brought up in question time) was that 9,000 members ( I think that was the number) were sent mailed notifications, because they didn't have an email address.  It cost 4 days of packing from volunteers and $1 to post each of them.

And guess what, probably only 150 people turned up.

Best part of the night was Adam Tomlinson who when presented to the audience.... remarked that for his previous club the numbers in the room at the Melbourne AGM probably represented the total supporter base at GWS.

So out of touch with what? I would have that thought those coterie members in their 60s would be the ones against his appointment as CEO, you know the linament sniffer types.

If there is no board member to elect there is no need for a proxy form.

Are all members sent a letter about details of the AGm still or not. Also who really cares about the AGM a advertisment once is enough anyway

i knew it was coming and i must admit i wasn't interested in going

they didn't mention, however, that they were launching the red and blue print for 2020-23 at it

but, it's amazing, there's this wonderful / terrible thing called the internet!

and i can watch the speeches from the launch of it from the comfort of my own home! miracles will never cease

edit: i definitely got sent a proxy form too fwiw

If only they captured and uploaded the entirety of Pert’s speech, instead of half of it.

I can guarantee you this member did not get proxy forms by snail mail or email at any time prior to this AGM.

Out of touch with the common supporter; out of touch with the people on the ground; out of touch with reality...

Growth and sustained success don’t just happen as a byproduct of winning matches. You need to invest time and resources ahead of time so that you can capitalise on the on-field successes.

There is a startling gap in the club’s thinking where there should be detailed strategies and tactics to convert success to increased membership and revenue.

Then blame Australia Post or details in database not being up to date or incorrect

What a load of twaddle

All of the above was outlined at the meeting last night

It is now available to read or watch  if you can make the effort of course, you could always ask Pert to come around to your house and do a one on one

You’re wrong - it’s not available to read or watch, as it simply doesn’t exist.

It’s great that’s you volunteer your time & energy to the club (alongside myself at one point, funnily enough although you won’t remember), but you’re too keen to be a club apologist. We have opportunities staring us in the face, but we’re putting them in the “too-much-effort basket” or even failing to recognise them at all, and in the same instance giving other clubs a free hit to capitalise where we could be evening the ledger.

Name the opportunities staring us in the face that we are putting aside or not recognising.
