If it’s true that he hasn’t run for 6 months, it would not be difficult to see him missing most, if not all of the season.

Playing any games this year might be a bonus.

I agree Mr Leg if he makes it back it will be the greatest comeback since Lazarus. Perhaps a few games at Casey around late July.

Lazarus played for Fitzroy in the 1960s if I recall. I think a FF?  So for him to come back would be a miracle of biblical proportions.

Sadly I am old enough to remember him well mono. Was nothing flash but then at that time no one at Brunswick Street was much good either. They lost every game from mid 63 till the end of 64. A streak of 27.

Wish I looked that fit after doing no running for 6 months.

May has been pushing for Harley to get a gig and if he trains well and looks solid the dee's will be picking him up.

Hopefully May can keep Harley on the straight and narrow as the boys used to enjoy the lagers together on the GC.

It's amazing what bugs some people.  Take me for example, the way the social media person at the MFC uses the "+" symbol instead of the "&" symbol in every-f-ing-thing makes me wonder if we've had a work experience kid in at the club at some stage, and we haven't been able to get rid of them.

Are we red plus blue, or red and blue?

FFS.

PS.  Welcome back Harley.

Think it's a style thing that's developed over time, "+" looks better than "&" to the young-ins

So what's next no instead of yes because it is faster to type?

No (yes)

There's a grammatical irony in this post, OD.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
