Countdown to Footy

Featured Replies

As preseason roles along, the start of the season is finally within sight.  Not that I put huge weight on the outcome of our first preseason game, but I'm personally hanging out to watch some footy again and that preview of the state of the side and how individual players are tracking in something with less resemblance of a training run.

Also a good point to sit back and understand how the fitmess of our list is tracking for Rd 1.  What is the potential lineup of fit and ready to go players?  Interested on others thoughts and assessments of all of the above.

Yep looking forward to the Adelaide hit out at Casey.

I would imagine the following players would miss week 1 (touch wood no further injuries) due to still being in rehab:

KK, Hannan, Spargo, Tomlinson and Baker. Gawn may also miss this game as he's representing VIC in the all star game.

We're probably getting West Coast as good a time as ajy  the heat can be an issue in March, but McGovern and Barrass are behind in their pre season with interuptions and they will look to build as the season progresses. Oscar Allen also has had an interupted start.

On the negative most of their mids are up and running as is JK.

Anyone have any idea about tickets for Round 1 or receive anything from the club

Can’t come quick enough imo.

Shouldn't be a problem if they have sufficient mental strength.

Adelaide at Casey? If last year was the abberation, we've got 2 years age development into our list that demolished them by 100 and Adelaide are now rebuilding with coach stevie nicks... then i'm expecting the double tonne margin ?

Yes, I'm Drinking the bathwater, we're in a drought!

Sure. I’m ready to get the hope over for another year and return to normal — dreading every weekend.

The game against Adelaide at Casey is the only footy I'm going to be able to see live some definitely counting down to going to it. The pre-season reports have been mostly positive and quite a few of the key players seen to be putting in good time, but that's where we will get to see if it amounts to anything.

My countdown to the footy starts as soon as the Australian Open Tennis is done and dusted.

Once that happens, there’s nothing that stands in the way of the footy.

yep 8 pages in the sun !!

Presumably he won't be in the Vic guernsey now.
