I think it's time trial day so I didn't go down, but will be interested in some results. Gold Coast used a few professional pace makers at strategic intervals to help their players beat PB's, I wonder if that's something we'd do.

Impressive stuff from Toby Bedford and Jonesy running 2nd and 3rd in the time trial. The old and the new pushing for ANB's high half forward role but naturally he's still leading the way.

Hopefully plenty of PBs

Kinda blurry but pretty sure that's TMac in the background coming 4th. That guy is a running machine, coming off a knee injury

What a strong athlete Jones is, physically and mentally. that is a great effort and sign that he is up and about, great work by young Bedford as well.

I honestly think Jones finishing 3rd is a bit of an indictment on the rest of our young midfield group coming through. Tremendous effort by him though...

Yeah it can probably be broken down in 2 ways.. the negative of where are the young blokes or the positive of a proud ex captain who will lead with or without a title. I have been critical of Jones leadership in the past, but you can only comment whats in front of you and its a great effort.

Absolutely rapt we look to have Joel Smith AVB and Tom Mac ready for a preseason. With Harley coming, I cant stop thinking of best 22 combinations. I need help.

I think TMac came fifth... it's hard to see but there's someone just behind Jones with their elbow sticking out. My guess would be Langdon.

Stayed up untill the time trial.   Weideman, Petty, Bradtke and Josh Wagner only ones in rehab group.

AVB and KK in full participation. Tomlinson was there only as a spectator. Presume it;s due to the fact he played in the GF, longer break etc.  Unfortunately Charlie Spargo on crutches and in a moon boot.

Not sure that Jetta and Viney participated in the time trial. Could not sight either Baker or  Hannan.

Easily the biggest group I've seen for some time in the main group. Encouraging.

Reckon Werridee would be only too happy to help.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
