Players can have a break CS, no problem. I just don’t like seeing the Captain on the other side of the world, looking like a Clown whilst the Finals are on.

Looks very amateurish to me

Well would you prefer him to start his travels after the finals, and so be another four weeks away from starting preseason?

I don’t care that Jack is not at the finals.

Why is it a bad look? I would suspect most non finals players are on their break, as mandated by the AFL.

I would be pretty sure most Bombers players will be on their break, as soon as exit interviews are completed early this week just like the loser of Giants v Dogs.

Most players need their break, unlike supporters.

You made your point, that you don’t care. Fine

i don’t like the look of our Captain stuffing his face into an ? ice cream in Rome, after the year we all endured, whilst The Finals are on.

I would prefer him to be in the Crowd, soaking in the pressure of tonight’s game, then go away.

But if he has to be in Rome now, do it quietly and not all over instagram

We disagree. No big deal

Is the footy still going.....how odd

Almost a non-event in this household - been that way for quite a few weeks, now - off o/seas in minutes. If we do not get rid of Goodwin, OMac (x 2) and Viney, the levels of current interest will not change, just like the pre-determined rejection of an MFC Membership for next year. Depressing, disloyal, selfish and morally gnarled as it might be, I feel justified after supporting this Club since 1956 (my earliest memory of 'supporter-status') to only one premiership back in '64; but, it is more than a mere premiership, isn't it?

I would have hoped The Captain of our team would have WANTED to be in the Crowd, watching Finals and learning whatever he can take out of it for next year. Considering how our year completely fell apart.

Tonight’s game will be flat out. Neither side will want to play Meth Coke

Go and watch his 2 finals matches against Geelong and Hawks last year I think he knows about finals intensity

Last night would have taught him SFA

Don't bomb in high and slow to the Eagles defence

You need to apply pressure at the ball carrier to prevent the Eagles from playing their kicking game

Essendon lack inside bulls and until they address it they won't be any good in September

Don't play to many injured players

Well tonight all is well with the world. The bummers got kicked out of the finals, bomberblitz is in melt down with there fans angry and blaming woosha and now I don't have to hear about them this September.

Have a nice flight home bummers players and the supporters.

Cats at it again. Stanley out, Menegola in. A ruck for a midfielder.

At what point do they start getting called on this?

When Chris Scott is asked pre-game why the change, his answer is the conditions, we thought we were too tall in the conditions.

Have I completely misunderstood the reasons behind the emergencies? I thought it was for injuries, not tactical changes???

Good advertisment for compulsory clash jumpers.

Okay in the close ups but the moment the cameras zoom out they are almost identical.

And I can't stand Bruce the fawner. You think that Pendlebury was Black Caviar.

The roar for Stephenson by Collingwood fans is puzzling. The guy was placing bets on himself and his own team for games he was playing in.

They don’t care....

10/0 inside 50s

If it were us it would still be a scoreless draw

And FFS we are made to use “clash jumpers” v Essendon and Adelaide. Yet these two get away with it.

the whole jumper thing is a farce. The likes of Liverpool can play in grey, blue etc as well as their traditional red but.....

I’m really struggling watching on the TV.

How could the two clubs not want to fix this??

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
