Does anyone honestly look at Richmond’s team with any fear? I don’t think I ever have, including when they have Rance and Cotchin running around. This week is no different.

They have an obviously superior forward line which will probably be the difference, but I look at that team on paper with no sense of fear.

Won their last five games by an average of 45 points. Might increase to 60 points after Saturday.

Youre quite right P-man fear is not warranted.

TREPIDATION  is the word you're looking for  ;)

I do. Not the individuals but how they play as a team and their pressure. We regularly beat us with ease, usually pulling away in the last to 40 pt win. Can only imagine the result tomorrow

Who are we dreading in particular?

Dan Butler?

Brandon Ellis?

Jason Castagna perhaps?

Sure, they’re a good team in good form. Just saying on an individual basis this is not an intimidating side that we are facing. If we can get our [censored] together we can be more than competitive.

Youre a brave man, P-man. Can't say the same, unfortunately.

However he hit rock bottom last week letting Josh Bruce (or was he on Membrey) running amok and that pathetic hanball to nobody which directly resulted in a St Kilda goal.

This perfectly sums up how ridiculous much of the criticism of Omac is on this site.

You are bagging him for  'letting Josh Bruce run amok' whilst conceding you don't even know if he was on him!

And sure he made a disposal error that cost us a goal. But maybe you missed the memo that said we conceded 87 points from turnovers.

In case you did miss that memo a heads up that Omac contributed 6 of those 87 points (that 'pathetic' handball). And everyone's new golden boy Frosty coughed up 2-3 goals and our highest paid player 4 goals and at least one more because he couldn't make a basic spoil.

But sure let's pile on Omac and give the other two a free pass. Demonland at its analytical best.

Wow , I admire your persistence in sticking up for O Mac.

I note that your completely disregarded  the first paragraph of my post where I defended O Mac by stating that he was a serviceable/solid/sufficient defender in 2018, particularly at the business end of the year. Not many others around here would acknowledge that he was reasonable last year.

He’s been sub par this year.

Give me a spell. Agree if may was fit he would have gone out (and said as much in my post) but you can't pin Bruce's goals on omac. One maybe but he got lace out delivery for at least one goal (after a woeful turnover),  omac was not on him all game and at least one was a result of lever not spoiling and if iirc another was from a throw in when Smith was clueless and Bruce grabbed it from the air and snapped the easiest of goals.

If he was as poor as you think dazzler he would not have been picked this week. They had hore they could bring in and petty (who by the way is no forward) who could go back. But they have stuck with omac.

Obviously you and many others disagree with goody but without trying to be disingenuous or dismissive he is an AFL coach, would have analysed his performance so is better placed than us to objectively assess omac's performance last week. And has picked him to go up against lynch or reiwoldt (i suspect lynch).

Believe it or not not every thing is OMac's fault.

No, he was picked because Richmond have 2 talls in Lynch and Reiwoldt and we have no other tall defenders to come in while May is out. So unfortunately we are stuck with with him until May is bsck.

C'mon mate even you yourself know they are not going to pick Hore because it leaves Lever having to play 2nd key tall when he is a 3rd tall at his best. Hore is 189cm tall and Omac is 196.. it's not a swap for swap situation.

Hore [censored] all over Omac as a defender and will go on to become a great half half back for this football club. Oscar will be finished when he's contract is up.

Perfectly correct B.

FEAR will enter the equation about 15 minutes into the first quarter.

No other tall? What about our other kpd tbat you want in the side to develop. You know petty? He is no forward and needs time down back and playing on reiwoldt would be great for his development.

But sure no other t walls if it suits your narrative.

Because hes been thrown forward because we legit have no other talls up forward to give us a target ?‍♂️. Weideman, Smith and McDonald being out is the reason Petty is playing forward, c'mon mate, i know you're smarter then that. And that's your opinion that he's no forward. But to me he is a 19 year old being asked to be our number 1 key forward in unfamiliar territory and holding up extremely well. He had a good dual against a much experienced defender in Nathan Brown and held his own quite well. He is showing potential of someone that is worth  training with the forwards group this up coming pre season to see what he is capable off. Especially if he can stack on 5 to 6 kilos on.

The fact the club has more faith in throwing Petty up forward instead of Oscar shows where he sits in the pecking order. Prior to being moved up forward he was still getting games down back ahead of your mate. Great to see coaches have finally woken up to sweet reality.

Dazzled my point is they have other options. If they thought he was as bad a player as you do they simply would not pick him full stop. So it stands to logical reason they don't share your assessment of him.

They have another option to the ones I have already noted. Put keilty back there. I'm guessing you might say that's not an option as he is not up to it. The club seemingly share that assessment. And guess what they have not picked him. Just as they wouldn't pick omac if they didn't think he was up to it. But they do and so pick him. Much to the chagrin of some.

I watched his AFL pro video last night and it was revealing. 10 reality good spoils - way more than lever. Two set up scoring chains.he laid strong tackles and hit some good kicks under pressure. That's what the club look at. As i said he played his role

He has his limitations and has not been in great form this year. As I have said he will go out when m is back as frost is ahead of him atm

I’ve had so many people tell me this week that they think we will roll the Tigers tonight. They follow it up with ‘but we have tipped the Tigers’.

The Bitter Travelling Circus is currently in Longreach.   Today I shall concern myself with Jackie Howe’s tally rather than the shemozzle that the MFC has been reduced to.

I love that part of Australia. Off to the Kimberley next year for the 5th time.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
