I find it frustrating that as a side we used to have so many exciting indigenous and irish players.

Farmer, Jurrah, Davey, Woenamirri, Stynes, Wight etc.

We don't seem to pick any players like that anymore.... our side lacks imagination and x factor.

Look at the Eagles yesterday! Riolo, Ryan, Cameron, Jetta....

Taylor also drafted an inside contested mid (Sparrow) with our second rounder last year. The same year we traded away Tyson because we had too many inside contested mids...

Think Weightman is a better prospect if he’s available. 177cm, has pace, has good leap and mark for a small, can crumb well, kicked bags of 4 goals back to back matches in the championships too. He’s a specialist small forward. He’s projected to go around pick 20, so is the perfect target for our second round pick IMO.

Sparrow isn't an "inside mid", and if you think he's similar to Tyson then you've either not seen Sparrow, Tyson or both.

He's a bit like a Dangerfield type (not saying he'll be that good obviously) with a burst of speed from the pack, ability to chase down opponents and is a handy player around goals.

But sure, that's exactly the same as Tyson....

Yep, you never gone to google for evidence before?

Where has he been described as Patrick Dangerfield before? That said Patrick plays as an inside mid, a role that we just pushed another player out of the team for having too many of that type.

Not sure drafting a poor mans Patrick Dangerfield changes the role/position that Tyson got pushed out for.

Whether he plays it the same way or not, it doesn’t change how many players can go in for center bounces.

Seems to complicated for you to get. Based on your logic we should just go recruit 10 players to play the same position/role, as long as they play it different to each other.

I can't weigh in too much given I have paid zero attention to potential draftees, but what I will say is we have some issues that need to be addressed at the draft table. One of those is speed and a goal sense.

If this kid is the best available to meet those needs then that's good enough for me. 

I will do some reading on prospects....seems I've been a tad lazy this season.

While there is very little information provided from a single game, from what he showed there I'd say no to this kid.  He positioned himself well and has good hands, but to me his pace looks average and his size is a huge disadvantage.  I'm a fan of drafting footballers before athletes, but there are limits.

Which part was made up? The part about him leaving north or the part about him going to the dees? Point was that he ended up in Melbourne which was in response to you saying let’s not pick Pickett because of go home factor. When his uncle left SA to come to Melbourne. The PA part is irrelevant here or if anything backs up my case further if you want to include it.
