Langdon, Anderson AND Hill WILL be Demons in 2019 - barring a major hiccup. Langdon is across the line - Suns taking Rowel it’s a Monty.. Hill only talking to Dees & Hawks, fact! But word is our offer to a Freo is far superior (likely 2nd rnd & pick swaps maybe young player). Also some spec around that it may also involve Langdon & Jetta but that’s just too early on to know. Both Brayshaws receiving spec both ways also yet odds are astronomical either gets moved.

Anderson is the light at the end of a shitty tunnel of a year, No chance we are trading the pick unless it’s super deal ie 2 for Hill AND Langdon, even then we’d want a top 15 pick back by throwing in 2nd rnder.

2nd round for Hill? no way they'd except that. They'll want a 1st round pick for sure.

Does anyone know if we can trade a future 1st this year?

Selective reading my friend? I’d suggest you read EXACTLY what Nudge said, then comment.

Yes - we ALL do! AFL Not compromise another draft for those incompetent buggers.. best they’ll get is start of 2nd round that’s all that’s in rules to give now anyways!!!

I agree with this. The AFL surely realise they have enough young talent. They just need to keep it. A second rounder is far more likely. AFL also need to stop playing with the top end of the draft compo picks aside. Even they might come under scrutiny at some stage.

There is a theory AFL will hand over pick 2 so they can secure Rowell and Anderson as best mates. Handing over a pick on the premise it has to be used on a certain player is effectively draft tampering. Yes I understand those two are at this point in time the standouts.

No I understand

Hill for 2nd round and pick swaps maybe a younger player??

Pick swaps? Are we talking later picks?

Younger player i assume would be steak knives.

Still think they'd demand a 1st round pick regardless but that's just my opinion.

We'd have to give up a first round pick for Hill but potentially we could trade pick 3 for Hill and their first rounder - around 9.

then add pick 21- Langdon to the deal and it's a win - win for both sides in my opinion.

Freo are in the Essendon mold of dealing with at Trade time. There is no way they will settle for a second round pick for Hill IMO. I reckon they will want / demand a first rounder.

I always think back to the Salem/Tyson or J.Kelly. If these 2 kids are as good as people say we take one with our pick.

my view of the draft is that after picks 1 & 2 it drops off a little. if Noah Anderson is on the table and the suns don't get pick 2 i think we grab him in the draft.

if the Suns get picks 1 & 2 i think we trade 3 if there is an opportunity to fill a significant need as in either a big key forward, or multiple outside runners.

I simply dont think we can afford to give up an early pick again, especially if its Pick 2 and we get 1 of the 2 clear standouts in the draft.

I wouldn't trade pick 2, but i would downgrade pick 3 if it meant getting an established player in as well.

if Noah anderson is an option i'd take him over anyone else that is currently an option

Ok, I’m not across it to be honest. Would love another star to come in and play along side Gawn and Oliver.

Yep, there seems to be a drop off after the top 2, so i could stomach it a bit more if it was pick 3 but even then, our last top 10 pick was 2015 and i know you said we might get pick 9 back which is something im still a bit reluctant to spend it.

The Other hand, we get HIll an established player of the caliber we exactly need who is 26years old.

I'd rate Hills value at about the pick 13-18 mark. so i think a trade of Pick 3 for Hill and Pick 9 would be a fair deal. the Dockers may like an upgrade of picks to get it over the line.

established outside midfielder and a presence in the top 10 is a good result.

Brad Hill will inform Fremantle of his decision to officially ask for a trade as soon as Friday but the Dockers can still cash in on his three seasons at the Dockers.

Hill has every intention of playing in Melbourne next year, with his partner to move back home over summer and the star wingman expected to join her.

Brad Hill set to tell Fremantle he wants to be traded

Freo managed to turn Lachie Weller into pick 2. Here’s hoping we’re a little smarter.

We’ll also hand over the rights of Nathan Jones first born.

Hill will want to get back to Hawthorn. Strong connections there

There is no doubt he will want to go back to Hawthorn. The only sticking point is Melbourne offering a better offer than Hawthorn.

Hawks will likely offer pick 7 for Hill and Dockers would jump at it. Hawks would pickup a pacy midfielder to compliment Mitchell, Scully, Worpel, Omeara.  That’s not a bad midfield group.

Hoping the people i'm speaking to are wrong, but i'm hearing the Saints and Hawks are ahead of us in the race for Hill. we are having to be pretty creative Salary cap wise to come up with a financial offer to get him and Langdon and it's looking like the club is prioirtising Langdon over Hill. and the Saints and Hawks have some money to splash.

any word re tomlinson?

the other one that is doing the traps is jenkins to the dees

Hill will nominate Hawthorn, he is not considering any other clubs at this time. Make no mistake, a deal will get done. #ETthetradebreaker. #It’sstartedearlythisseaeonbecausewe’recrap. #Youhearditherefirst. #Demonlandexclusive.

Nah nothing much else. we've left our run a bit late for Hill it seems but Langdon might be pretty close to over the line barring a big offer from another club.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
