Brewmanity are part craft beer company, part philanthropic endeavor. Whilst $99 is not over the top for a slab of craft beer, especially one that could be regarded as a collector's edition, it's worth noting that Brewmanity donate proceeds from every beer sold and have currently raised over $150,000 for the Cure For MND Foundation.

100% I appreciate that.

As stated, this particular brew 'Raises funds for the Melbourne Football Club'.

(I've already donated lots of money to the club. And all I've got for it is a drinking problem – least they could do is knock some froth off the top if you know what I mean)

Yeah totally get that. Is the presale offer to MFC supporters a different price to retail? It could end up that $99 is a lower price. Not sure.

As a company they raise funds for MND and also assist in clean water projects, so I'm pretty happy buying such a unique Dees product made by a genuine champion of a player and bloke (incidentally Paul Hopgood is involved too), that will help those causes as well as the club.

Good point, might have to wait and see.

OUCH.

That is extraordinarily expensive. Shame, wasted good idea. I'll keep on enjoying my home-brewed Kilkenny (I import the hops myself from England, the dry malt compounds and concentrates, the 3 yeast varieties, etc., just to be authentic to the recipe.)

It still only costs me 28 cents per 700ml bottle, after 5 weeks secondary bottle maturation in my garage steel cupboard @ 24 degrees C.

That's about $9 per slab - and after 5 years of making this particular brew x 4 times per year - it is just as good (if modestly said, 'better', than the Real McCoy) so maybe I will have the handbrake make me up some original Demon labels to complete the job. This typing is thirsty work - seeya!

I bought 2 cases to only be opened when we hold the premiership cup aloft.

Beer lasts forever doesn't it?

perhaps we should be offering vintage ports instead. Might just last for the great grandchildren.

No, DJ we can't risk it. You know they will be tea drinkers and it will go to waste, don't do it man.

We all should open our own social club up and make fine brews.

Still waiting to crack my bottle of Malmsey Madeira 1900 vintage reserved for our next flag.  As old as our first ever VFL premiership 119 years ago. Was primed to be cracked open in 2000 so after that shellacking it has remained in the cellar waiting for our next flag ever since. I was getting the corkscrew and decanter ready last year but now it looks like it will be gathering copious dust all over again.

Just checked out their website.  100% of the profits of the new Demon beer go to the MFC.   10% of the sales of their other beers go to the Cure for MND Foundation

David Neitz is awesome.

The 2019 edition kills it, I think I'll wait for the 2020 edition.

Knew that, but I have a soft spot for Ballarat, and lived there for 2 years in Pleasant Street very near the Bunch of Grapes pub. My point is that there are beers and there are beers, as we all know. And, there are places and there are places, as we all know. Put the two together and you have some variation - for example, Fourex tastes mediocre in temperate southern climates like Melbourne whereas in more humid conditions such as Brisbane and above, it tastes bloody fantastic! The same with VB/BB. It just tastes great in wet weather. Thanks for your additional info, NSFM, as it happens, when I go to the 'G to see the footy, I usually stay at a rented apartment in the old CUB building, as you mention.

Per stubby:

glass: $0.28

beverage, 375ml; $0.12

packaging: $0.15

shipping: $0.20

licensing fee to AFL: $3.40

profit: $0.125

How did Neita not brand this as ‘The Demon Drink’? The pun was there for the taking.

Plus the 2019 run surely should have been a bitter; the type of beer best reflecting the year.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
