Sounds dismally familiar I listened too. That fella is total peanut. Major axe to grind with casey. I suspect he was turned down for a coaching job or some such. Would not shut up about how disappointed he was - work rate blah blah. I made a mental note to ask KC if he knew of him but i can't recall his name (started with a P?). How can you implement a game plan with so mnay of your team out and so many players playing having NEVER played together? Peanut 3 Quote

Dee Zephyr 19,322 Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 May was very good today and his work rate stood out to me more than anything else. I tried to watch him closely as much as possible and he was outstanding in that department. Several times he would start a metre or two behind his opponent and by the time the ball was there he caught up with speed to spoil or even got in front and marked. In the second quarter the ball was being contested in our forward half, May and his opponent were the only ones in our back 50 when another Werribee player snuck forward and created a 2 on 1. May decided to sit between them after not one teammate adhered to his calls of dropping back. May would have been 20 metres away from the secondary player when he realised we lost the ball at half forward and the now loose forward became the leading option for Werribee, May sprinted about 50 metres to close down that player on the back flank and spoiled the ball over the boundary. Brilliant stuff to much applause from the Casey faithful that ventured out. I thought KK got better as the game went on but was surprised to read he only had 12 touches. Dunkley was mainly used forward but it wasn’t a day for our forwards with poor delivery all day. He did show some strength though in the first quarter with a couple of fine tackles. 8 2 Quote

Kk huge dissapointment so far. You'd hope Dunkley would show something soon as the mid year draft is prime opportunity to draft the next Kelly/mihocek/collins Quote
Demonland 74,457 Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 MAYDAY by KC from Casey There’s not very much that can be said of the lacklustre performance of the Casey Demons at Avalon Airfield Oval against the Werribee Tigers on Saturday other than that it was woeful. There were however, a few small rays of hope for Demon fans, the main one being the display of defender Steven May from injury and to a lesser extent, Kade Kolodjashnij’s return after two months recovering from the effects of concussion. May was in stellar form down back, taking intercept marks, disposing of the ball meticulously and bringing teammates into the game. He finished with 22 disposals and 9 marks. The Demons gave away a lot to get the former Gold Coast skipper and it would be a surprise if he didn’t return to the AFL this weekend against Collingwood. His former teammate Kolodjashnij was less spectacular but he showed some flashes of the brilliance of the early years of his career up north. The other Queensland connection was provided by Corey Wagner who picked up 25 possessions and worked hard all day. Jim Munro is having an excellent season and he was one of the few who didn’t let his team down. His strength and his tackling were a feature. Congratulations to veteran Mitch Gent who played his 100th game and has been a real stalwart of the club. The game also saw the debut of Melbourne mid-season draft pick Kyle Dunkley who started slowly but showed some very good signs for the future. However, there was little else about which to be enthused by the Casey Demons’ 7.11.53 to the Werribee Tigers 13.10.88. That score line flattered Casey which never looked like getting close after the home side stamped themselves on the game in the latter stages of the first quarter and kept the Demons to one goal in each of the second and third terms. Casey’s next assignment is against traditional rival Collingwood at Casey Fields on Sunday. 2019 Hard Yakka / Totally Workwear VFL Casey Demons 2.2.14 3.4.22 4.8.32 7.11.53 Werribee Tigers 4.3.27 7.4.46 9.8.62 13.10.88 Goals Casey Demons Bedford Chandler Keilty Kolodjashnij Lefau Munro Quigley Werribee Tigers Augerinos 3 Henderson Riccardi 2 Barlow Bennett Brew Clayton Maishman Munro Best Casey Demons May C Wagner W Collis Chandler Munro Werribee Tigers Brew Coughlan Hanson Augerinos Hebron Clayton Statistics Toby Bedford 1 goal 3 kicks 3 handballs 6 disposals 2 marks 4 tackles 35 dream team points Heath Briggs 5 kicks 4 handballs 9 disposals 2 marks 1 tackles 33 dream team points Jaxon Briggs 1 behind 3 kicks 5 handballs 8 disposals 2 marks 4 tackles 43 dream team points Kade Chandler 1 goal 7 kicks 2 handballs 9 disposals 5 marks 3 tackles 56 dream team points Wayne Collis 9 kicks 1 handballs 10 disposals 4 marks 2 tackles 46 dream team points Kyle Dunkley 2 behinds 9 kicks 2 handballs 11 disposals 3 marks 3 tackles 51 dream team points Tom Freeman 5 kicks 2 handballs 7 disposals 4 marks 2 tackles 33 dream team points Mitch Gent 10 kicks 6 handballs 16 disposals 3 marks 4 tackles 64 dream team points Jack Hutchins 6 kicks 4 handballs 10 disposals 3 marks 3 tackles 38 dream team points James Jordon 8 kicks 4 handballs 12 disposals 2 marks 7 tackles 66 dream team points Declan Keilty 1 goal 1 behind 4 kicks 4 handballs 8 disposals 3 marks 2 tackles 7 hit outs 31 dream team points Kade Kolodjashnij 1 goal 8 kicks 4 handballs 12 disposals 5 marks 5 tackles 74 dream team points Mykelti Lefau 1 goal 1 behind 4 kicks 1 handballs 5 disposals 2 marks 24 dream team points Nick Lowden - 3 dream team points Steven May 16 kicks 6 handballs 22 disposals 9 marks 1 tackles 92 dream team points James Munro 1 goal 1 behind 9 kicks 9 handballs 18 disposals 2 marks 14 tackles 114 dream team points Braydon Preuss 1 behind 7 kicks 2 handballs 9 disposals 3 marks 1 tackle 43 hit outs 76 dream team points Aidan Quigley 1 goal 5 kicks 3 handballs 8 disposals 3 marks 4 tackles 52 dream team points Cory Stockdale 7 kicks 3 handballs 10 disposals 2 marks 3 tackles 43 dream team points Anthony Vella 8 kicks 8 disposals 1 mark 1 tackle 31 dream team points Corey Wagner 1 behind 20 kicks 5 handballs 25 disposals 8 marks 10 tackles 130 dream team points Liam Wale-Buxton 1 kick 1 disposal 1 tackle 17 hit outs 18 dream team points Mitchell White 17 kicks 4 handballs 21 disposals 5 marks 6 tackles 100 dream team points 1 Quote
