Was Hore, Hibberd, Lever (No sign of Petty

Hore calf, still working and looks ok ?

Hibberd lots of tackles (think he's now main group?)

Lever, run throughs, moving Ok but clearly not 100%

ANB has joined Hore now for some kicking

From: Salem, JKH, ANB, Weids, Hibberd, May (all looking ok, ANB back in main group just dodged the match simulation drill)

Rest of injury list: Hannan had the knee tested, but continued in main group, KK going ok, No Petty, Lever off early, Lewis (Ok but susp). No sight of rest (too cold to bother)

On a completely different angle, how good is it to see that panel of quality sponsors behind Goodwin? All are big, international players (except maybe IG). Not only does it make us look like a professional club, but anyone who's new to the code seeing that panel should be in no doubt that this is a club of quality.

We need to start winning LDC or they will drop off. Sadly everyone loves winners, losers not so much.

Sigh...such predictable negativity...I would imagine they would completely understand the vagaries of Business ...matters that are sometimes just out of your control no matter how smart you are or how much talent you have ...I’m sure they can see the bigger picture ...to quote an oldie but a goodie ...”Rome wasn’t built in a day “  !

I hope we wait at least another week on Lever.

Not playing out the game on the weekend, it would be better if he had a bit more managed match time before coming in.

Having read the training report it seems he may have to hold off anyway.

There was nothing wrong with the weather

Thought the consensus on here was all AFL listed players shouldn't need to be coached to kick, they should know how to

KK has now gone the helmet, nice looking on as well

Lever was fine, running unhindered, could be all smoke and mirrors, assume it will be no risk policy

Readiness is the issue.

Any truth to reports Hore is looking likely to miss a few weeks? Few social media pages reporting this

Well so far it is 50+ years, a little longer than a day

Trained in the rehab group and was pictured with ice on the calf after training. Optimist says it's just a corky and he'll play. Pessimist says 4 to 6.

I watched him closely and while I have no medical qualifications or experience whatsoever I feel comfortable offering my opinion........

He trained the whole session but was only in rehab group, strapped calf, but moving pretty freely doing running drills. Finished up later part of session with some kicking to leading target ANB, and then some shots on goal.

If he had a strain and wasn't going to play then surely wouldn't have been out there or limited to just light exercise...?? It was sooooo frrrzzzziiinnn cold ❄️

My take was just getting the cork mobile, then obviously icing after training. I give him the all clear to play!...

You should apply for Misso job. Some on here would rate you ahead of him on this assessment alone

I'm down to the last 4-6 applicants! ?

If you get the gig whatever you do don't agree to a medical exam from the club. They'll recommend surgery and you will stuggle to perform at your best for the next 12 months

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
