Gee Port must have lewd photos of the umps

Conspiracy theorists would say it’s to stop North winning as if North win it increases the chances of Dees getting pick #1. [censored] Nicholls is in

Need North to win this to help us get our hands on Rowell.

Not that I expect anyone to give a rat’s about my threats but if we on Demonland are about to embark on another round of barracking for losses or hoping other sht teams crawl past us, I am out of here. We’ve seen how much that hurt last time and the payoff was far from worth it. That’s a loser’s game - even if it’s only supporters - and I’m not playing it.

I hope Port win by 100.

we won't come bottom by any means

Carlton, Suns and North will be below us and possibly Bulldogs and another.

Lucky 13th with around 7 wins is my guess

Goodness me, Jed Anderson wouldn’t look out of place playing in the AFLW.

Get a haircut young man.

Yep, follows our 1990s patterns....

Gee we seem to not only injure ourselves, but our opposition as well. First Geary now Riewoldt out for 6-8 w.

North actually going OK in the last quarter or so. Looking more organised than us. Of course Rosee is putting a nail in!

I like Connor Rosee. He'll be a ripper

Yep, this kid is pretty darn good and so is Butters.

Also watching this game, I see Todd Marshall doing what Weideman should be doing for us. Marshall's not kicking a lot of goals himself but he's creating plenty by bringing the ball to ground.

These ANZAC Services on before games, after ANZAC Day are just not right.

Why does the AFL persist in such things?

don’t over do it...

Agree, I know they call it the ANZAC round but tonight they didn't have the NZ anthem. Either do it properly or not at all and how weird will it be doing it on sunday in Tassie. Im pretty sure they don't do it in the NRL.

Anyway on another note did anyone see the Ben Cunnington elbow into a port head? Seriously this player has some dirty tactics off the ball.

North Melbourne look as bad as us. Maybe the word 'Melbourne' is a jinx

Umm they are looking a lot better than us with 4 minutes to go.

Dam you port. Just kick 1 more goal and nth would have remained on the bottom.  Back down we go by .7%. God we are losers.

On that north performance, bottom is where we belong until we get our act together.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
