This article indicates that the Suns will be chasing future picks due to the amount of picks they already have this year. So based on this, you would think that' the KK trade should be pretty straight forward.

Trade winds

Yes, the Suns are probably happy to get their hands on 5 from us because pick trading continues on after this Wednesday deadline and they could still strike an attractive deal with Adelaide or Port.

My nickname for Kade is  'MGA'.

If anyone can figure out that riddle they likely have an IQ over 150.

Hahaha.

”Go M.G.A!”

or maybe the crowd could chant MGA, the way the brainless Pies fans chant USA.

One of the dumbest nicknames I have seen proposed for a sportsman!

Oh please, I just really want to go to the footy and use it.

Then I can tell everyone how smart I am

Probably waiting to see if it can be bundled into any May deal. If that falls over I expect it will be done at the end of trade week. My reasoning for this is that it originally was assumed that this would happen at the beginning of proceedings.

The draft is now ever 2 nights?

Round 1 is going to take 2 and a half hours? For 18 picks?

What.... what is going on here? I must have missed something. Surely it doesn't take 2 and a half hours to call 18 names?

Did you watch the Brownlow?

If that’s any standard then two and a half hours will be cutting it fine.

Cannot believe how the AFL has managed to extend its product into the October/November period.

Other sports cannot get any media coverage.

Brilliant startegy even if I hate it.

Listening to an Age journo speaking on the ABC this morning their trade pieces get bigger clicks than those on the finals simply because every follower is interested in the trades.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
