The SA club swill be knocking Mahoney's door down to get it.  Crows have picks 8, 13, 16 and 20.  I reckon they would give up 8 with 13 or 16.

We give 8 to GCS for May.  Deal done!!  Net result we keep 13 or 16 and pocket Freo's 1st round 2019 pick!!  Happy days!!

Is that you Mahoney you cheeky bastard you?

Freo: Get hogan and our 1st round next year

dees: get pick 5 and freo 1st round next year

we then trade freos 1st rounder next year for May and KK (this could potentially be pick 1-6)

we take pick 5 to the draft and hope rankine is available

No way would the Suns go for that, as it stands they will receive top level compensation for losing a FA which would probably end up being BETTER than whatever pick they’d end up receiving via Freo’s future pick. They’ll want a low draft pick THIS YEAR.

If we give them pick 5 and receive May and KK I’d be satisfied with that.

But on the Hogan trade, I’d be pushing for 5 and exchanging next years first round pick plus a second round pick this year.

If all they want to offer is 5 plus a second round I’d straight up give them the middle finger and tell them to be prepared to battle with WC next year. This is quite possibly Mahoney’s big moment with the club, we MUST NOT cave.

Consider what they are saying about Neale and how they are rating him, we must make sure it’s significantly higher than that.

We must be prepared to walk.

I advocated this same deal a few days ago and reckon it sits about right.

We get pick 5 and an upgraded first rounder (likely To be a pick between 5 - 10) in 2019.

Freo get Hogan and stay in the first round of 2019, albeit at a later pick (14+).

It’s a deal which puts the onus on Freo to back themselves to rise up the ladder with Hogan.

I’d be happy with this trade.

I know it's unlikely but if we finished below Freo next year the pitchforks would be out

God people talk rubbish.  What has he over spent on?

Melksham and Hibberd are absolute steals based on output.

Lever cost pick 10 and 14 and is a year younger than Hogan and just as much upside.

If we get 5 and and a mid- late 1st rd or early 2nd rd, then this is equivalent to what we paid for Lever.  People are living in fantasy land if they think we will get picks 4 and 5 for Hogan.

Actually its picks 10,16.

Personally, I believe May's girth is evidence he's a spud muncher, to say the very least.

Jayden Hunt was lucky May backed off before the finish line.

Where does this BS groupthink come from ?

Or Freo could finish last and Hogan’s foot could collapse again.

We might get pick 1. Who knows.

If we can get May without a draft pick next year then why would we give up a top 10 pick for him this year?

Trade Hogan, keep pick 5,6 on Smith/Rankine.

Next year get May via FA

I'm keen to see O-Mac in a grand final tbh.

You just know he'll blanket his opponent in the first half, then switch forward and kick a lazy 6 in the second.

Typical Mahoney, always flinching first. I hope this trade no longer happens as at the rate it’s going it will be a 3rd rounder for Hogan.

Typical olisik (troll), always firing off without thinking first. I hope you don’t post 3rd rate comments on here but yet here you are.

Because this is likely our best opportunity to get him and it will help us in the short term for our premiership chances in 2019. Collingwood we’re into him big time this year and if we don’t get him now we going into a FA dogfight.

Oh FFS. You think we’d be the only club after May next year? Try getting in line with about 10 others.

We have a chance to get him now and he sounds keen to come to the Dees. You don’t baulk at that or try to get cute by naively thinking “we’ll just wait 12 months and get him for nothing.”

Silly thinking.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
