no chance.

I tried.

I can’t imagine the truth is worse than what I’ve made up in my own mind from watching his insta stories.

hmmm...Think we may have to get our heads back around him staying now by the feel of all of this.  IF it goes the way Chook is flagging that it may, then Jesse would be well chastened . More determined than ever.

of course jesse has already made a decision. he knew the trade week was starting weeks ago. its all posturing.

it doesn't take long to make a decision.

I know why, but I like my house and don't want to lose it for slander.

Slander of a Freo person or slander of Jesse?

So if he stays, does he sign an extension? Or we do it all over again next year?

In your opinion do you think  its a just part of negotiating tactics...or genuine cold feet

Yerp i agree. Why do all this 9f there was no interest.

Thats why i believe @Chook in Perth and thank him for his info.

I also know Jesses manager and himself would have discussed the potential trade a long time ago.

Thats different then coming to terms but it would have been planned a while ago

Ok, then Freo can stop perusing him.

Maybe they like examining him.

No they haven’t. They were always going to throw his ‘dicky foot’ up as a tactic to push price down.

Someone at Freo is feeding Tom Browne bulltish the way Old McDonald spreads feed for chooks.

‘Touring the facilities’, saying Lobb is more of a priority ... all ploys to get Melbourne to cave on a the two first rounders demand.

All these tactics are in fact a measure of their keenness. It’s off the charts.

Sit tight Dees we will extract our price. Patience, patience catches the prey.

C’mon ProDee you’re smarter than that. Brinkmanship 101. Laughably obvious in truth.

Probably stating the obvious here but if we can't get his long term commitment now then I'd be more than happy to trade him, granted we get a nice return package.

No need for a Hogan-WA fiasco throughout the entire 2019

Writing has been on the wall for years, comformation for me that he wants a trade done asap, was at BnF when he was seated very cosy next to Tomas Bugg and the other delisted players.

He's a weird cat Jesse, might be the best thing for him, never really embraced the footy club.

Loving the hard stance approach by Mahoney stating "we will be seeking the highest possible trade compensation ever"

Rubbish

Ideally Fremantle will [censored] Hogan around through trade week and make and unmake their minds about a trade or offer huge unders for him.

Hopefully this puts Hogan off-side with that shoddy organisation and he clears his mind of ridiculous thoughts of leaving.

Your'e safe from slander. Libel I'm not so sure.  But a question for the legal eagles on here.  Can you  be sued for saying "I won't say anything about X. He might sue me."

Yes, and “as it sits now we expect Jesse to be playing for Melbourne next season”.

Freo would’ve bristled at that.

Mahoney copped criticism from some last year for appearing too accommodating to Adelaide over Lever. Well, we are seeing his hard arse bonafides here in no uncertain terms. Great stuff.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
