They said on SEN that 2,600 club membership tickets had been sold up to this morning.

How many can we expect to be wearing red and blue on Saturday?

It would incredible if we had anywhere near 50/50 .

More like 4/96

It was reported over here that they’re expecting 5000 to make the trip over.

5,000 plus that Fremantle bloke

And 2 of his Dees supporting mates.

If we somehow some way got more than 10,000 non Eagles fans that would be a start.

I miss-heard the news this morning, i thought they said 26, 000 tickets had been sold :(

Apparently the ticket allocation is split 50/50 between west coast and melbourne members

Can someone explain how this 50% split allocation works for the members of both clubs? Because, I've read now that the game is pretty much sold out. So, I'm wondering if there's only like 2,600 Melbourne members going, when does ticketmaster concede that it's not going to be 50% Melbourne and let the floodgates go for the rest of the eagles members to get tickets to bring the ratio to like 96% eagles 4% Melbourne?

Max Gawn alone makes up for a 50% deficit in the crowd! Go Demons!

A small but vocal minority who will leave with a big smile, possibly a black eye and an inner belief that maybe, just maybe we can do this thing!

I will be there, with 3 members of the family.

Does anyone know, is Melbourne doing a training session on the ground?  If so, when?

I'll be there with two other demons!

I will be there with the wife and mates ( one is a bulldog supporter and one a freo lover ) Can’t bloody wait, can’t stand the eagles. Will be loud as we can, even if it means I have to watch the granny from a hospital bed. Go dees

If anyone recalls my post about my nephew Shrek Mouth, this is him.

Welcome Mr Lips

Enjoy the game, and hi to your mrs.

All the sleazy hotels are booked out Ethan.

I'm staying on your couch.

That wasn't a question you will note.

The only thing that concerns me about you is this.

Are you a Cardy B or a Nicky Minaj guy?

Latest number I heard on the news was 3,200 MFC membership tickets sold for the game.

I thought the club could have organised two diesel Locomotives and a few hundred carriages from somewhere for a Deetrain direct to Perth with a thousand fanatics on board. Would need at least 4 or 5 restaurant cars to keep the fans lubricated.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
