Given the pain they’ve put me through, I reckon I should get the nod.

Danners for mine.

oppo supporters would be frothing at mouth wandering over to DL and seeing threads like this haha

Jimmy Toumpas and Tom Scully.

In all seriousness though if healthy enough, Daniher. Otherwise, Barassi.

Where's Jane Bunn?

Is she a supporter? Would like to hug her after we win it.

EDIT: she's a Saints supporter. Probably needs a hug anyway.

I think I'd hug anything if we win the flag Clint

Same. Euphoria will last a week.

Noticed Garry Lyon has no votes, that’s fine and understandable. However I think media and obvious history aside he would be right in the mix. Sorry if this steps on toes but as a player the guy was everything that this club epitomises and one of the greatest skippers we ever had. Happy to take heat over this, go for it.

So will my hangover.

Two presenters. for me... on the Dais.   Of course Barassi,,, but also Roosy.

Barassi recruited & coached Roosy, when he went up to save The Swans... and Roosy, took the job to its zenith.

Of course we all know Barass's contribution to the D's.

And we all owe Roosy, for this build, who inturn owed Barassi for doing the same in Sydney town.

.

I've thought about this over the years.  If he was still alive, the only choice would be Robbie.  If Garry Lyon's personal brand hadn't gone down the toilet it would be him.

But I think it has to be Neita. Like Matt Richardson for the Tigers, it is he who manfully battled through the modern struggles of our club.

I love Barass and would be happy to see him hold the cup...but honestly....he has lifted enough cups!!!

Fair comment I think layzie. People forget Garry was in our Team of The Century and a champion. Most people I assume hate him over the Neeld debacle but even Garry said last week on SEN he regrets getting involved but he was in a hard situation trying to help Jimmy and do it for him. He just made a bad choice, as we all have, but he wore his heart on his sleeve and bled for this club as a player and loves the Dees, he only wants the best and success as we all do.

RDB is at all Melbourne home games and our last premiership captain in which year he also won the BnF and played 204 games with the Demons. I'm all for first in line and RDB would be that.

That’s right Febes, it would just be nice if people could put that stuff to the side and remember what he did for our club. It was a terrible spot he was put in.

Yep it has to be Barass. Absolutely.

I think “The Prince” Hertier Lumumba would be a fitting person to present the cup ,as he is the chosen one.

First win the bloody thing and then I don't care, I won't notice because of the tears in my eyes.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
