Admit it, they do a balls out job of "servicing" their customers.

Looks like I've got prime seats in front of the TV. Tickets sold out from under my nose while I was waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting ... log in ...wait wait wait wait.... enter bar code, choose tix ... wait wait wait wait ... refresh .... more bays have disappeared ... have to log in again ... wait wait wait ... have to enter bar code for 100th time ... get message: "Please go back and try again. This was unexpected." Have to go back to start.

Finally get this: "There aren't enough tickets to meet your request right now. Please try a different ticket category or type, with a reduced quantity of tickets. If you receive this message even when selecting only one ticket, all remaining tickets are being transacted by other customers."

These guys need to apply for the world cup rights. They've got their f***kup game down pat.

there are no public sales on either. they were supposed to start at 1pm. no comment yet on when club member sales will recommence or when public sales will commence.

out of control

the other annoying issue is that when you do get in you are subject to a countdown timeout and whilst searching every location for ticket availability you inevitably timeout. Then when (if) you get back on you have to repeat all the input boxes.

surely you should be able to log on a few days earlier and do a pro-forma application. i.e. get all your details in (members barcode, credit card details, ticket number/type requirements, aย list of ticket preferences by location/category and other miscellaneousย  details) which are then saved for you. Then when the allocated time comes, simply login, retrieve saved data and it presents you with a list of available (really available) seats by your ticket preferences then you just click on the one that suits you. all done. this reduces the countdown timer problem, reduces data errors and clears the waiting queues for those not logged in

i really worry about the quality of it systems analysis these days. too much emphasis on fancy graphics and marketing, too little on system efficiencyย

Both Giants supporters have managed to get tickets.

Unfortunately they are not allocated to sit together .

Total stuff up!!

Don't worry Mazer, this is exactly what I experienced. Apparently after the initial meltdown everything started to screw up. Tickets will go back up on sale again when they have sorted out the sh$^ They assure us they aren't sold out and they won't open to the public until we have had a chance to purchase. There is no way an elimination final is going to sellout without getting to publicly available tickets.

Sen news says they will go on sale this afternoon with times to be announced: take that with a grain of salt. Would be smarter to do it tomorrow and the next day.

Not sure, but if you click on the Next button after receiving the red box it resets the clock ie don't re-select, just click Next.

was mentioned 30 mins ago. You'd think that sales will be this arvo given that AFL sales tomorrow.

Confirmed on SEN that club member tickets will still go on sale later this afternoon and they will be staggered between us and hawks v tiges.

Dont give up yet!

Nothing in his contract to tie his bonus to ticketek performance, so where's the problem?

ย

Given that there's a Ticketek outlet at KPark, and I'm of the impression that there would have been no problem there (until the on-line sales were halted at midday), I assume there's 1000's of Cats members who have got their tickets.

Does that affect our allocation, or are they divvied up as per the GF?

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
