Accommodation booked for Friday night....

Now just waiting for the ticket window :)

Flights booked from Brissie. First final live for me since prelim at VFL park (old Vic boy) when Jimmy gave that penalty. Book tickets for me, Sons and Grand Sons on Tuesday then accomodation. Had to ensure flights first. Go Dees.

Hey guy. How does purchasing finals tickets work? I live interstate and not a member, can i still buy a ticket? Or do members get all the tickets.

General public tix avail from 2pm on Tuesday. Good luck!

Thankfully tickets are on sale tomorrow so we can have a full day to get one’s bearings.

Does anyone recommend travelling down to the local ticketek stand or is online the better option?

Would be very surprised if there is a problem getting tickets for the first two rounds ( assuming we make the second game).

A prelim against Richmond  could be a  challenge especially if the other is being played interstate (not sure if that can mathematically occur anyway).

The usual problem is that the tickets are released in blocks so it can be pot luck as to whether you hit the start of the block release ( near the front) or the end (near the back). The concept of best available is a moveable feast.

At the recent world cup they recategorised level 3 tickets as level 1 (twice the price) just for the knock out series. Nothing like nosebleed for $400 !!

Do you think tix will be available? Or members will sell it out?

Agreed, only issue for me is I need to get 7 tickets in total. Thinking it might be a bit of a task online with having to enter individual barcodes for 7 members.

So just to confirm:

As an AFL Member with club support, I am buying tickets on the WEDNESDAY, not the Tuesday in "contending clubs" allocation?

I just called the Ticketek in Hampton (Bayside) and they will be selling finals tickets.  He said they give out 'queue' tickets for people who arrive early and ticket sales start at 9.00.

This might differ from agency to agency so you may like to call your local.  List of agencies:  https://premier.ticketek.com.au/content/outlets/agencies_vic.aspx

praha... if you do that you will be charged full price for the tickets according to the AFL ticketing brochure:

"If purchasing within this allocation, remember your ticket will be in the public areas and charged at the full Club Membership rates."

Normal AFL membership sales commence Wednesday at 9am ..

Wasn't there meant to be an email for members yesterday with a barcode????

I dont seem to have got this either? Was there an email?

I haven't got this 'email' either, but for anyone who hasn't seen this yet, members will get exclusive access to tickets Tuesday 9am-1pm.

So pumped for this! I'll be there! (I need to buy tickets, but this should be a fairly ok task for the first couple of finals).

Tuesday at 9am Praha.

If you were just a general AFL member it would be Wednesday, but given you are club support you get priority access (i'm in the same boat).

Finally, paying for priority finals tickets with my membership has paid off!

I just spoke to Ticketek Greensborough outlet and asked them how early they recommend getting there. Was told there are people camping out since this morning in the car park for tickets.

Just read this it sounds like the "barcode" is the barcode on your membership card. Can anyone confirm this?

I just called the AFL membership line and they said as an AFL club support member you can get tickets on either day. Tuesday is for club members (which as AFL club support we qualify for) and we would sit with other Melbourne members (but pay a bit more), If booking on Wednesday seats would only be in the AFL reserve but a little cheaper.

Fellow Demon Supporters. Have booked flights for myself, 2 Sons and Twin Grand Sons. Coming down from Brisbane. Ex Vic boy however haven't been to the G since late 80's. Before I buy tickets tomorrow what do you think is best position Cat 3 or 4. Your assistance in advance is appreciated. Also any half decent accomodation close to the G ? Thanks again.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
