Isnt it better if Port wins?  I must be the only mad man left who thinks we can win the last two and finish 4th-5th.

Well I guess there may be other mad men.  But speaking for the sane brigade, let's just creep into the 8 somehow.  After that who knows.

You probably are, but I like it.

Got on Essendon at $2.40 earlier in the week.

Tiges got nothing to play for

Wouldn’t mind port winning and Geelong and norf losing. Let’s hope the footy gods hear.

I guess we all see things differently, God Bless these Bombers fans on their footy page. Not even on Demonland do I believe we would stoop to ‘bin juice’ delusional levels if there was such a huge discrepancy in our favour.

‘See, I don’t think the umps were kind at all. I don’t think they paid us a single free that wasn’t a blatant free. On the other side I reckon they didn’t pay a couple of genuine ones against Richmond that cost us 3 goals at least’.

It must be so hard to come to grips with reality when one is sooooooooo lucky to have a "Team" in the AFL.......

Filth and port a dreadful game.

Expection too much.

750,000 a year for Polec with efforts like that? Good luck North!

The "Port Collapses" theory has been Melbourne's best chance of finals for a while now, and the dream is still alive

Nicholls just paid Boak a mark that was knocked out as soon as it hits his hands and the filth player got all ball.

Imagine how much Goody would get screwed by the "media" if he," who is below all learned coaching type people" kicked up a row about unfair maggot practices and it leaked out in a winging way to selected outlets right at the wrong time ie now.......

Dud decision. The guy was right here too.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
