yes, he really is that slow

his kicking is up and under and he doesn't hit the scoreboard

he wouldn't improve our side one iota

Fair enough, we don't need poor users of the ball.  Thats why Tyson is out.

Two things for me, Danger is a terrible kick, even Crows fans will say that, and Jones' 2m handballs out the back of packs normally go where they're meant too.....

hell no to armitage. injury prone, slow and poor skills.  no to gaff as well. I'd be all up for bringing in aaron hall. His best is very good and was leading the brownlow last year (or the year before) after the first 4 or 5 rounds from memory.

i wonder if weitering is worth chasing as a kp defender ? i'm sure with a better structure around him he could recapture his debut year form. is still only 20

Would be nice dc, but can't see him leaving the Boos

they have dropped him a few times this year and they are looking at a big turnover this year so might be interested in some ready to play players plus a pick

I'd like to see the club target Jane Bunn. Seeing we are now struggling to play the MCG and our game plan is more suited to Etihad I think Jane would be quite helpful on getting first hand info and long range weather forecasts, helping us prepare for the wet and windy well before our opposition. She could also be quite helpful in ways to prepare and recover from our NT games, particularly Darwin if we continue. Another advantage would be knowledge of destinations and changing weather patterns for interstate games. IMO she should be our first priority over Gaff.

Looking at the background, she may have already joined the Bombers. An experimental drug injection program would actually explain a couple of.... things.

Would be interesting to talk to Anthony Miles. How much does he want to prove the tigers wrong, that he can play in a senior 22 squad, or has missing out on a flag and playing VFL killed his spirit?

if he still wants success he could be a gun recruit

Fascinating. I wonder if it's a comparable situation to Schache for the Dogs second round pick. Or in our case as they don't need picks, for a comparable player like Tyson

Brian Wilson not unlike Miles and look what he became.... A Brownlow Medalist and integral cog for John Northey in the late 80ts

Miles is another NQR I reckon - not sure he’d replace anyone as an inside mid for us

Haven’t seen enough of him to know exactly. But if he is close to selection, but not getting there, he may be a good senior recruit who has a point to prove.

Stephen Powell comes to mind, no one saw his 2000 season coming...

carlton wouldn't get rid of weitering.. he's gonna be a pillar and leader of their team one day. but, in saying that, i would trade tyson for him every day of the week. win-win for both clubs.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
