Lack of height killed us last week

Yes and no....some crumbers up the sharp end might not have hurt...not height !!

Harmes is probably on notice for those 2 momentum killing turnovers in the second half last week.

20 points up with all the momentum and he finds a Port player at our half fwd. That is what's keeping him from being a serious player.

He lets us down a lot with these poor decisions & execution. I was annoyed when he turned it over as it changed the momentum of the game. Him & Hannan need 2 improve their kicking or play at Casey

I agree but they definitely needed some more height down back.

I thought Spargo would play for sure this week.

Extremely strange as they saw what it did to us last week.

I wonder if TMac is pulling out and they will play Spargo.

If he doesn't start improving he could be the next big name to be dropped.

I fear it'll take a quiet word from Saty and the promise of a few photos on here

Was named in our bests 3 of the first 4 and then the finger issue. Should have missed two-three weeks minimum but stupidly played through and has not recovered his touch or confidence. Was looking good quarter 1 last week settled back as a pure forward. I expect him to get back to something like his best this one.

If Tom Mac plays, we have again gone in without a crumber.  Tigers have 5 of them in the F50 and we have none. Now who is playing the better style of footy.

Odds on Saints $6.05. I don't think they'll win, but very juicy odds.

Now $7, and Melbourne into $1.10. Is it just me or do these odds seem a little skewed? Saints coming off a bye and morale boosting win, Dees off 2 losses. Certainly the punters out there fancy us!

Talked to him already, as per the article, he knows he drifts out of games and needs to put the same effort in for 4 qtrs, knows he has the ability, just getting the application going

On that note, expect the big angry bear called Hogan, to be just that on Sunday

No, we will smash them.

The Freo game in Darwin next week is where the value is if you're a betting man.

I noticed that Pedo Bear lined up for Casey this afternoon, so it's probably reasonable to assume that Tom Mac got through his fitness test this morning, and will play against the Saints tomorrow.

Edit:  unless they go with only two talls and Charlie Spargo .

Isn't it nice to see Tyson retained his spot, thought he was playing his role (whatever that may be of course), good ol' SMTJ said I have no idea and would show that when Tyson was dropped, I wonder if SMTJ has any idea why Tyson wasn't dropped

Im struggling to really understand the brilliance of our ploy to essentially play one style ...and then start withdrawing essential elements of that design.

Odd

Odd

With Geelong going down this makes this game so important. I think a few of the make the 8 teams could drop games. We simply need to win the next 3.

All we need this year is to make the eight. It will assist in attracting players to the club. 2019 will be our big year!

I may be alone but i don't see making the eight as a walk up.

If our game is so much about our inside50's...our pressure to keep it in there then you need the likes of spargo...i would have thought.

Our fwd structure is awkward and incomplete.

Saints might surprise us.

If the Saints surprise us it will be a dead set disgrace because they are pathetic.

We are not the Tigers, so there is no point setting up the same way.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
