And there in lies the problem “excuses”. 

How long have we been doing this for, 12 seasons now! I think it’s safe to say that the toys are well and truely out of the cot by now

Clearly the quote is in reference to the fact that the Hawks held their structures far better than we did on the day.  The manner of the loss is proof of that.  As soon as the Hawks turned up the heat and we wasted a few chances we dropped our bundle a bit, didn't set up our structures as normal, and got the hiding we deserved for it.

F@#k me, talk about an overreaction on here.  Granted it was a horrible loss but it’s 1 game for gods sake.  

Bulldogs, Collingwood and  Essendon have had horrible losses but have shown that it can be turned around a week later.  I also recall Tigers losing by 80 pts to Adelaide last year and they still went on to win a flag. 

Keep things in perspective people and stop being influenced by the media who are just looking to make a headline.

This week decided to add the handball to a player under more pressure. By the end of the game he was too scared to even kick for goal and hand balling to Harmes under more pressure on his wrong side.

Lever, it continues. Look forward to hearing from his fanboys.

But on a serious note, I am not going to Panic until Round 10. We should be 6 - 4, maybe 5 & 5 or it could be worse and season over.....

But if we manage to be 6 and 4, get Viney and T Mac back I won't be too upset

So I've avoided D-land for the day, that was just a shocking performance that left me bewildered as to how a team that had prided itself on being hard at the footy and exciting at times could put in such a shocker.

I'm hoping that that's what it was, a shocker that will hopefully wake us up. We were so uncompetitive and completely rolled over for a half of footy, and that isn't the team I feel we've been watching for the last couple of years (even back to Roos).

The good thing about this happening at this time of year is that redemption can only be a week away. They've got to hit the track hard this week and atone for that non-effort.

Of those teams you mentioned ... Dogs Pies Dons Tigs ... are any of them renowned for not having a dip?

Are any of them renowned for dropping games they should win? Not one off but repeatedly?

Are any of them renowned for being soft and folding every time the heat is on?

 

We are at a major crossroads. Next game is season defining and if it all goes wrong, may be the one we look back on as the coach killer.

The Dees lost to an injury plagued Geelong who played with a couple of debutantes that collectively put us away. 

That makes 2 losses and 2 unconvincing wins against bottom 4 sides. 

Goody' "silver tongue" will find a way to take this year as a positive. Regrettably, very few will buy it. 

No more excuses. Our game day narrow visioned game plan has been exposed and exploited. We are looking like mugs when teams go over the top of our defenceless forward press. 

Roos will be livid that his years of teaching players to defend has been tossed out. 

Please go back to coaching school Goody, we need a new plan that the players can execute.
